Topping Klasse glaze/sealant

I havent got the product yet, and wondering if i could get some experienced advice, Ive been wondering , even if it is worthwhile for detailing on site, when is the appropriate amount of time to top over the KLASSE Glaze with a wax.

Topping Klasse SG with a wax would primarily be for altering looks. You should wait at least 24 hours after SG application to allow time to cure. I don't top SG anymore as I prefer the ability to add another coat of SG at a later time if I so choose.

Additionally, any non-cleaning wax will do great as a topper - I have tried Souveran, Paste Glaz, Meg's #16, Natty's, Trade Secret, etc. Practically, any non-cleaning wax will do fine.

Another way of answering your question would be when it's absolutely certain you don't want to apply any more sealant.

Waxes can top a sealant but most sealants can't bond properly on top of a wax.

As for waxes, MCA's suggestions look good. I've personally topped with Souveran, Victoria Concours and Dodo Juice Supernatural.

All look great on dark cars.

If you car is a lighter colour, I'd stick with sealants, if dark, I'd do your topping wax idea.

I've topped KSG without waiting for the recommended 24 hours and it worked fine, but there are a lot of variables so YMMV. But if doing vehicles for others I wouldn't bother. If KSG isn't the right look, I'd just use something else (IME Collinite is as durable as KSG when only doing one coat of either). I believe that the whole point of using KSG in the first place is the ability to layer it; if I'm not doing that I'd reach for a different LSP.

Ok main question to point across here. 1. not a good idea to top untill full cure of klasse glaze??2. Im doing this as a swirl removal package for detailing. 2 step polish, then glaze and wax-Question: should klasse take care of glaze + wax step together???

If you polish correctly, you don't need a glaze, certainly not on clear coats.

See if this reply addresses your concerns, I'm not 100% sure I'm on the same page with you

The Klasse twins don't do a "glaze"-type effect, the KAIO is basically just a paint cleaner (forget about the tiny bit of stuff it leaves behind, utterly inconsequential IME) and the KSG is a synthetic substitute for wax.

If you want to use a glaze for some reason after you polish (and as you can tell by yakky's post, that's a debatable thing to do, I don't think the Klasse twins will provide that.

Bottom line is that I really don't think the Klasse twins are the optimal choice for what you're doing.

But to answer your Q, many waxes will be OK over KSG without a long curing time, but until you know for certain that the specific wax in question is OK you're running a risk of messing up the KSG through solvent action.

So I wouldn't top it. Not in your case, not in 99% of any conceivable situations anyhow. I'd just use something else if the Klasse twins aren't exactly what you want (and I'd have very specific reasons for using them in the first place, let alone on a detail-for-others).

Sorry if I'm not properly addressing your Qs, and also sorry if I'm giving you info/opinions you'd rather not hear.

Accumulator makes a good point. KSG is a real niche product. If I was doing details for money, there is _NO WAY_ I would even consider using it, or any other mult-layer product. Time is money and results showcase your work. IMO you would be hard pressed to beat finishing off with Poli-seal, then Optiseal or OCW depending on the color of the car.

My debate over glazing is that sometimes(depending on color and clear) the swirls can be astonishingly gone!, and sometimes they will be so extremely fine you have to really look at it in certain areas with sunlight, and i mean really really tiny swirls. Having said for the swirls that i do get- i would at least like to fill with a glaze. IF klasse is not a true glaze like yall are saying then i will most likely use it for just a sealer.

In regards to what product i was thinking of topping would have been, meguiars yellow tech wax, or gold class plus.

One last question can anyone provide me with some results of a single layer of the klasse sealant/glaze?
