Topper, or 2 step that gives 3+ months of protection?

I wonder if you Pro's can offer some help? Im looking for a topper that would last about 3 months. Something that looks nice, has minor filling abilities and durability. I like the results I get using NXT as a topper, but I think it lasts about 4-8 weeks. Suggestions?

Also what is a good 2 step plan for the "average" car (basically clean, car wash scratched but still in decent shape)?

Hope you don't mind if a non-pro responds to this one first :o

I'm reading your "topper" as a "Last Step Product"- right? The Klasse twins, with which the SG is the LSP, can last well OVER three months if you apply multiple layers of SG (you can just add one after each wash for a while).

Other long-lasting LSPs include Collinite waxes and Meg's #16. *I* get over three months out of UPP (formerly Platinum), but I dunno if others would. And plenty of people get that much out of 1Z's Glanz Wax.

For a two step process, *I* would use 1Z's Paint Polish topped with one of the above (but not the KSG, it probably wouldn't bond).

Clean the paint with AIO, and finish with this:

...and you'll be Golden Grahams.

i still had tight beading after 6 months of two coats of Glanz Wax. the stuff is ridiculously durable. that's my vote.

I've gotten three months Zaino, Klasse Twins, UPP, & AIO/NXT. I 'm sure Wolfgang will do the same per all of the hype. I'm looking forward to using it very soon.....just waiting for the right car & client.

We get no acid rain or industrial fallout in the Dallas area, so most products last at least 2-3 months. S100, Carnauba Moose, #20, NXT, #16, EX and EX-P, Glanz Wax and (based on results so far), Wolfgang have all lasted at least 3 months on customers cars.

Thanks guys. I know already NXt will not last that long here. And as much as I love using the Wolf, I was asking more about a 1 step LSP.

So whats a good cleaner that will also remove minor car wash scratching, etc? Does AIO fill swirls? Some mentioned meguiars Speed Glaze in another post?

I'd prep the paint with AIO and then apply Zaino Z2 sealant right over it. If you use AIO by machine, it'll remove minor scratching, and the Z will leave the paint looking good and feeling slick for those 3+ months.

from what ive seen, meguiars colorx should do the trick...removes most scratches and leaves a shiny finish for a 1 step....or top it with nxt, #20, # 16, or whatever you like,......use a terry cloth towel to work the colorx in for better results....
