Top Of The Line - Lambs Wool Spoke Brush

That looks like the Mr. Clean brush (made by Carand, IIRC) I got for $2 at Target on closeout. I liked it very much, but after 4 or 5 uses, the wool fell off the "stick" of the handle, so I glued it back on with some RTV. That lasted for 4 or 5 additional uses until the wool tore.

I now have a similar Carand brush with a different handle that I got at Pep Boys for about $6. You might want to look there first.

This type of brush is very nice, it doesn't rinse as easily as some types of wool because the fibers aren't as "straight" as some mitts. It's very gentle and you never have to worry about it scratching, but as the other side of that coin, it's not very aggressive. Also note that due to it's length it can pick up rust particles from the edge of the rotor, etc, that you don't want to drag around over your wheels, so you need to rinse it out as you use it.

I use it, and it is very nice. It does shed some wool after a couple uses, but is very soft and effective on brake dust. I use it with car wash soap, no agressive wheel cleaning solutions.

Like Setec, I picked up a few of the Carrand wool spoke brushes and had the same experience. They hold up alright, however, I dont use them for every wheel, only the intricate spoked ones. The wool on the Carrand began to separate from the handle, I reglued it and no problems so far.

I usually use 1/3 of a grout sponge and slice up the face of it like the Ultimitt. If I mounted one of these on some sort of stick it would be awesome.
