Tools to work on the interior?

Yes. The proper tools will help, but even then it is easy to damage, especially when a car is a little older. Make sure you know where the clips are and don't pull too hard unless you know what you are pulling on. Sometimes there is no option but to pull, but do so carefully.

Harbor Freight has a "molding/clip" remover set and a set of "pry bars" from small to large, all at a reasonable price.

Also a small set of "gasket scrapers" are very useful for removing some interior parts.

I got sets of both, had them for over 8 years and use them on a regular basis.

Same as most places sell, but at about half the price.
