Too Cheap?

My father and I are starting a detail business on the side. I think I am too cheap. It's just the area I live in I feel will be hard to make any money if i'm on the high side. Some guys next to the shop asked for a quote. I quoted him and made it clear that was as of now that we were still getting started and getting a feel for how long different vehicles and such would take.

He wanted full detail basically except for any polishing. Wash, wax, interior cleaned, windows, and under the hood. I have only detailed a couple of my own cars under the hood and wasn't looking forward to doing someone elses but no biggie. It is a full size quad cab chevy. Any input would be appreciated. Was gonna charge $60 without the wax job.

I done my wife's grandfather's a couple times. Newer Cadillac. Wash only, vacuum interior, clean and condition leather (all in one) windows, and dress the interior. Usually not even very dirty on interior. I charge him $50.

Any input or suggestions would be appreciated. Thx.

most on here are going to tell you to just charge what you need to make money and feel it was worth your time....i dont think you are going to be able to get the SO CAL rates out in Ohio, unless the cost of living is the same STUPID HIGH RATE THAT IT IS OUT HERE

Nope southeastern, Ohio. Times are rough in this neck of the woods. I am happy to get some customers, make some money on the side and I enjoy the look when I am done.
