First up, le 330ci.

This is a pretty regular client of mine. I Zaino'd his car back in late August and it's still beading and has some slickness to it. He keeps the car outside 24-7 and has it washed every 2 or so weeks.

Today was just a quick job and part of my new "Weekly Wash" service that I updated recently with a free coat of OCW for each customer. The process was as follows:

Interior

-Vaccum and dust vents/cracks/crevices

-Soak interior with FK1 #425 and wipe away with respective MFs

Exterior

-QEW

-Meguiar's Wheel Brightener cut 3:1 for wheels, tires, wells

-OCW

-Meguiar's Hot Shine Tire Foam in wells and on tires

Next up, a 350Z Show Car. This belongs to a client who uses me 2-3 times a year to do various cars for him. He owns a performance shop on Long Island (www.z1auto.com). Like I said, this car is one for show (and go)...Recently it was featured on azines.com (http://www.azines.com/linked_cars.asp?pid=54). I was prepping the car today for SEMA next weekend. I only clayed and polished "from the windshield back" since he will be painting the entire nose this week.

The car was in very nice shape; only some light swirling and contaminants on the lower panels. The interior was just dusty and the mats had light soil content. My finals were:

Interior

-Vacuum and dust the cracks/crevices/vents

-Kids & Pets to clean entire interior

-CG VRT on vinyl, rubber, plastic

-Poorboy's PwS to polish all clear plastic and silver trim

-FK1 #425 final wipedown

Exterior

-Z7 Wash

-Optimum Clay with Z7 as lube

-Optimum Car Polish via rotary and red LC finishing pad @ 1200 rpm

-IPA wipedown

-Z2 Pro by hand

-Z8 to finish up

-Z16 on tires

-Flitz on exhaust

Questions/Comments, please feel free.

Awesome job, both cars look great. Does 425 on the interior repel dust as good as it does on the exterior?

Those gold colored wheels seem to be more popular these days, but to me they just look like they're baked in brake dust. To each his own I guess.

Sean...the 350Z looks amazing. I am still waiting for you to come down and do mine :)

I was thinking of doing SEMA next weekend but unfortuneately work isn't going to let that happen.

Both cars look awesome! What tools / techniques do you use for the vents and crevices? I seem to have a problem of either not getting all the dust out, or seeing some of it reappear before the car is finished.

Thanks everyone :).

natebood: Yep :D. #425 darkens the vinyl, rubber, plastic, and leather a touch and does a great job of keeping it dust/dirt/hair (I have a dog) free. I have tested it countless times on my black interior. Be sure to spray it on in the shade and wipe away. When using in the sun, it bakes in and cleans too much leaving spots were the mist landed and cleaned through your protectant.

Pat: Some day :).

Chuck: I use a Rigid vacuum and at the same brush the vents with a Meguiar's Horse Hair brush. The brush dislodges, the vacuum removes. If necessary, I will soak the vents with Kids & Pets and wipe with an MF.

Fuji: I agree. His shop is full of really unique (mostly JDM) parts. I am friends with a few people with Suby's and they speak pretty highly of him/his business.

Lee: Yep, I agree with ya. I had to oblige with the photo op.

Way to make silverstone pop, it came out GREAT!

I love the fisheye lens... it's pretty darn cool :xyxthumbs

Love the last shot of the Z.

Never thought of using #425 on interior vinyl, let alone leather. I know it works great on hard surfaces.

ha...just saw this thread....

Adam's car is definitely done tastefully with a lot of JDM parts...

I'll be getting in contact with you soon Sean....
