Todays Detail V. New LSP on A Ford 500...

4830Deuce

Burn Then Buff!
Well i did this car in the spring, AIO,SG, Pinnacle Sig, today when I was washing it, it still had really tight beading so I debated on polishing it or not, but I talked to the owner (super nice elderly woman who loves to have her car cleaned) and told her I was eager to use a pre-beta even pre-alpha LSP, I explained that there is almost no data on it and if it failed to protect I would come by and redo her car for free...being the nice lady that she is she encouraged me to use it...so i needed a fresh base to evaluate on. so I went with JW Prime...The car had no contamination to speak of, and very light swirls so after washing it I spot buffed then polished...

Process:

-Wash - JW Autobody Shampoo

-Spot buffed Opt. Polish Via PC w/ Megs Yellow Compounding pad

-JW Prime Via PC w/ LC Polishing Pad

-Un-named LSP Via PC w/ Megs Black Finishing Pad

-JW Satin Prot on the tires and wheel wells

Please tell me your thoughts on the LSP...if thats really even possible...

Wow! The paint is dripping! I'd say that the LSP has great reflective qualities but, according to the pics, lacks somewhat in the depth department. Great job on the detail.

Fantastic outcome! Very interest in your beta test.

I believe depth in pics is probably cause by cloudy day...right.

Thanks for the comments guys! It has really helped to confirm my thoughts on some of the needed improvements for this lsp. I was told it is a polymer based sealant, the release date of it should be sometime early spring. This is if not the first, one of the first batches made of it and it has a lot of formulation changes ahead of it. The viscosity of it is somewhat like OCW and from what i can tell im leaning towards it being a spray on application product. It is water based so it will be VOC compliant, and i believe the focus as of now is purely making the durability very long then move on to getting the visual aspects to improve. Saying today was such as nice day I stopped by and took some more pictures to share with you all.

I saw that qoute on another board and thought it to be classic...I'm sure I seem like a punk kid that thinks his car is better then everybody elses, but I thought it was funny. I have actually been debating taking it off.

Corey:

Yes it is a FMIC I would never try to fake something like that! ;) ...

Id say it looks OK, not spectacular. It is very reflective, but appears lacking in depth and wetness, also the overall look seems muted from a distance. But its hard to tell over the internet really.

Yeah I don't know what you're smoking, because if something is "very reflective" how is it not also "deep." These buzz words are great. Kind of like "sell the sizzle, not the steak."

Well Im not smoking anything, Im not sure what up with all the attitudes here in the last week or so? Its not even your post, so why the attitude? Reflectivity and depth are different. A mirror is reflective, but more of a 2-dimensional look compared to looking into a pond where you can see "into" it (depth).

No comment on the maker of this guy, not even sure it will get to market, but once I get more info I'll share it with you all!

Once again thank you for the comments dancing dude! :getdown

Looks very wet! Is the LSP a Werkstatt product as well?

My thought as well, but it's hard to see where another LSP would fit into the Werkstatt line. They seem to have a sealant and carnauba product already.

...and the sealant is top notch!
