This car is proof of why I love NXT. . .good stuff.

A friend from NASIOC asked on Thurs if I could detail his dad's black Towncar while he was out on vacation (Wanted to surprise him) so I agreed. H e wanted just a basic detail, no swirl removal or carpet shampooing.

Here's what I did/used:

Meguiars Gold Class shampoo to wash

Stoners glass cleaner for the windows

Aerospace 303 for the interior trim

Top Of The Line's leather cleaner on the seats

Meguiars Endurance on the wheels

The paint got a coat of Meguairs NXT Tech wax via PC and a grey fininshin pad. I wokred the NXT in for about 30 sec per section and the paint got noticaebly darker and deep as I did.

Notice in the pics the paint cleaning and swril filling ability that this wax has, hence why I use it sooo much. . .

Nice. I've found that NXT with megs polishing pad seems to eliminate light swirls too, then top off with 2nd coat with a finishing pad. That method works well for me when there're only light swirls or just doing a basic detail.

That car definitely needs more lovin' with the buffer and some polish but looks like NXT made a noticable improvement. You might want to try a polishing pad next time, it seems to do even better on minor defects.

I'd budget a good 8+ hours for the Excursion, you will definitely need it!

I will have to try that next time, wth the polishing pad.

Yah, I've blocked out from 9 am until 3 pm for the excursion. He doesn't want a full extreme detail, just a cleaning. It's the shop that I've been using, and he's gotten me about $700 worth of details in the last 3 weeks, so it's a free "thanks for hooking me up and letting me use your shop" detail. . .
