Autopia fire/rescue.
Today's detail was a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee in Light Khaki Metallic with a light khaki/graystone leather interior.

The Process:

Washed wirh Meguiar's Gold Class via two bucket method.

Tires were cleaned with CAR Products MaxiWhite, the wheels were pretty claan, so they were washed with the Gold class solution.

The wheel wells had some pine needles and leaves stuck in them (after all, it is autumn in New England!). The wheel wells were sprayed with a 50/50 mix of ZEP Citrus cleaner, which was allowed to dwell for about a minute, then resprayed with the ZEP and washed with an old wash mitt.

The paintwork was still smooth and beading quite nicely from when I detailed this vehicle back in late April. There was some bonded contaminants on the lower sections of the door panels. The panels were clayed with Meguiar's blue detailing clay and the rest of the car spot clayed as needed.

The paintwork was polished with Meguiar's #9 Swirl Remover 2.0, via PC and Sonus green polishing pad, then sealed with Meguiar's #21 synthetic sealant X 2 via PC. with a 3M finishing pad, followed by a layer of Collonite 845 Insulator wax via PC and another 3M finshing pad.

The engine compartment was cleaned using a 50/50 solution of the ZEP Citrus cleaner agitated with a soft brush and rinsed with a mist of water, then blown dry.

The interior was vacuumed, the mats and carpeting were extracted with a Bissell LGM using a solution of ZEP carpett and Upholstery cleaner. The leather surfaces were cleaned and conditioned with Lexol products, the dash and door panels were cleaned using Meguiar's Interior QD.

Glass was cleaned with Stoners Invisible Glass and treated with Rain X.

Tailight lenses and headlight covers were polished with Meguiar's Plast-X.

Tires were treated with Meguiar's Endurance tire gel, the wheels were polished with Meguair's Gold Glass metal polish using a Mother's powerball and sealed with Meg's #21.

Total time was 6 hours.

I detailed my 2006 Mustang GT (Tungsten Gray, 6,155 miles on the odometer) ) late Friday night. It rained so hard that night that any dust and dirt on the surface had been rinsed off courtesy of Mother Nature. There is two layers of Meguair's #21 Synthetic Sealant on it right now, and it was still beading intensely. I gently dried the car, QD'd the exterior and added a layer of Collonite 845 IW by hand with a microfiber pad, and removed the haze with a pair of Meguiar's mf detailing towels.

I also dusted off the engine compartment.

I treated the tires with Eagle One Concourse satin finish Tire Spray and hand polished the wheels with Meguiar's All Metal polysh and applied a layer of Meg's #21 sealant on them. Total time was 2 hours.

After I took the pics of the Cherokee, I pulled the the 'Stang and snapped a few pics of her. The late afternoon summer sun made for some interesting shots... enjoy!
