To wash or not to wash?

OK, Meguiars instructions are to not wash their pads that are used with the PC.

I believe I have read posts indicating that others do?

What is the down side to washing the pads? How are we washing the pads with hook and loop backing?

I know questions, questions, questions.

I wash my pads every time I use them. I soak them in Oxyclean over nite then rinse and then with warm water and use a small amount dawn press out until clean the air dry. I have no problems with any of mine

I hand wash my pads after every use. I use hot water and whatever liquid detergent is around. I do not let the soak. I work as much product out of them as possible. I have "dedicated" pads for every product I use.

I let the pads air dry.

Count me in as another who washes his pads after every use.

I just drop mine in a bucket with some soapy Dawn water for about an hour. I get as much off as possible by hand first, then squeeze it out by hand several times after letting them soak.

Air dry.

yep, i like to wash my pads after every use too.. i get some detergent with some warm water and let the pads soak for about an hour, rinse them out with cold water, squeeze out all water possible by hand, spin dry at 1, let it dry overnight.
