As I've posted before, theres a thread in the University about it, someone hit my car and now the rear bumper is damaged.
I'll snap some pictures of it and post them here.
I worked on it by hand with some scratch X and what we're down to is a bumper buff (I could possibly remove it with DACP and a yellow pad) and two strips down to the plastic, each about 4 inches long, on the flat front part of the bumper. Its ugly, and noticeable. The bodyshop I'm going to use probably uses computer matching for the paint, but they want to redo the whole bumper.
As I said in the original thread, the color is Black Garnet Pearl with a lot of really fine metallic, and its a "pearl". It also sort of changes color depending on the lighting and the angle. The guy seems very confident the paint will match through his computer system, and I was too but I'm getting cold feet.
Am I better off to let them touch up the area and buff it, or to let them completely repsray the bumper and take my chances on the color match? I really want the car back to showroom condition...
