Tire Gels, applicators

Just some comments on the tire gels I've been using lately.

Meg. Endurance - longest lasting, a bit thick to spread and needs a good buffing to get 'level'.
EImann Fabrik - shortest lasting, thin, must buff thoroughly to prevent sling. I buff this out with an old cotton app. pad. - helps absorb excess.
Platinum (4-star) - long lasting, easy to spread an even coat. It seems to dry quicker.

Appearance is about equal. EF may look a bit wetter.

I tried Vikings Flexible Foam Tire Applicators. At first it worked well but it was too flexible IMO and soon became saturated with product.
 
I just bought a pack of tire dressing applicators at k-mart made by eagle one. Havent got to use them yet its rained here all day.
 
I'm using the EF gel right now. No sling, no need to buff. Its been about 3-4 weeks and the tire still looks great.

I usually work in a line of gel on the applicator starting at the edge around the rim then use a circular motion around the rest of the tire.
 
The EOs work great. I use two applications of product on the swipe and then give each tire a final wipe with the same swipe, but with no additional product. The finish is even whether I use Endurance or Wet and it doesn't sling. They also last a long time. Great product.
 
I actualy just use some terry cloth towels. I use one for each tire. Half gets used for aplication and the other half for buffing. I find it works perfect because it's soft and works the product into any crevases in the tires and it also holds pleanty of product, while still not being so absorbant as to not lay down any product.
 
I have 5 bottles of Eagle One Wet Tire gel its seems to be discontinued and wasnt ever in stores that I checked so I orderd 5 bottles from EO last may. Still use it today great stuff IMO......
 
I've been using Blue Ice from Pro. Goes on easy, looks really wet, and minimal sling. Seems to last a couple of weeks also. I've also tried it on plastic rocker panels -- not so good, kind of streaky.
 
I have a acura integra, every product i use on my tires leaves a blackish slimy build up behind the tire on my groud effects... will tire gel keep that from happening?

Which products have you been using and do you buff it out or just spray and walk away? I never get the "blackish slimy build up" but then again I really work the product on the tire. I think that is key because it prevents sling and product seems to last longer.
 
I've been using either Poorboys B&B or EO Wet Tire Shine with great results.

The best applicator I've found for that matter is this one:
