Hello all.. I just purchase the Poor Boys Wheel Spray and Rinse. It worked well on the rims but no so much on the Tires. What we you guys recommend as a good Tire (Rubber) cleaner? Or a great wheel cleaner that works well for both. Thanks
 
PB S&R is a great product on wheels but not the best on tires. I would recommend PB Bio-Degradable All Purpose Cleaner & Degreaser. You can also use it for tons of other things like interiors on cloth and leather seats, carpets, dash boards, etc.

For a pure tire cleaner, I really like Tuf Shine's Tire Cleaner.

For a good tire/wheel cleaner I would go with an APC like BLACKFIRE All-In-One APC. Also, 1Z is a good color-changing wheel cleaner with some tire cleaning power.

Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't detergent just synthetic soap? Aren't all APCs "detergent based"? Not 100% sure.

To clean tires, I use TS Tire Cleaner 1:1 or LA Totally Awesome. Can't go wrong with either. I spray the LATA on the brush, as I'm not 100% sure it can't damage paint if left to dry - although I don't let it dry. LATA seems to work better than most APCs.
 
I had a similar question since is an open comparison. To say it is a detergent, supposedly is saying it is mostly surfactant based. For example Optimum Power Clean MSDS llist GLYCOL ETHER. SILICILIC ACID, DISODIUM SALT. ETYLENEDIAMINETETRAACETIC ACID SODIUM SALT and SURFACTANT BLEND PROPRIETARY. So is OPC a detergent?
 
I have been using Amazing Roll Off for the tires and the wheel wells. The stuff is amazing!:)

Seriously, I highly recommend it. I bought a gallon and will soon need to replenish. That being said, the PB Spray and Rinse is a great product for wheels but I only use it for really dirty ones as it is a bit strong. The PB APC is also great stuff that I use all the time, just not for the wheels and wheel wells although I am sure it would do a good job.
