Tire Cleaner without stripping protection

I am curious to know what you guys recommend on a tire cleaner that will NOT remove protection from wheels, but at the same time will clean the tires.

Currently I have sealed my wheels with Collinite 845, but from my experience I have not been able to find a solid tire cleaner that will not remove the Collinite from the wheels.

Any help is appreciated. :thx

I tried searching, but I could not get a proper result.

I use Griot's Rubber Cleaner, slightly diluted. I try my best to keep it off the wheels...well, off anything except the tire. That can mean wiping some on with a sponge as well as spraying it, since overdoing the spraying can get it places where I don't want it.

After scrubbing (brush or sponge depending on the tire), I'll wipe some of the residual cleaner off prior to rinsing, and I try to avoid getting the Rubber Cleaner everywhere when I do rinse it off.

Keeping your tire cleaner off of anything except the tire is the big thing, admittedly easier said than done. Must not be *that* hard though, as I've never had any big problems in this regard.
