Tips/Suggestions for detailing a "new" car...

I will be tackling my fiancee's 2006 Pontiac Solstice today. The car is only a month old and I've done nothing but wash so far.

Should I avoid applying products via the PC and do it by hand? Is it ok to use the PC and polishing pads?

Anyone have any tips for new cars? I just want to make sure I don't use too much process.

Thanks!!

It will be fins using the Pc and polishing pads. You might even have to if the dealer induced a bunch of free swirls for you. LOL However, if the car doesn't have swirls I would just use a very light polish and a soft pad on the PC.

I would invest in some clay also. Might as well start with a clean surface. It is process and prep that make the shine. You will be very happy with the PC. Have fun and post pictures.

Just washed, clayed, washed. Took out all the rail dust. Looks great so far...pictures to come later.

Thanks guys.

Give us some photo shots yeah? We should be able to tell you how good of a condition your fiancee's car is in.

These are the best I have. I can take closer shots if you want to see it closer.
