time between nuba layers

I have 2 layers of Wolfgang on. Planning on layering Pinnacle Liquid Sov. Thoughts on time between layers? Will be hot and humid in So Jersey tomorrow. Job will be done under carport.
 
waxes are not like sealents and often do not need the 12-24 hours cure time. I have found leaving the paint fro 3-4 hours and doing a cold water wipe down (or wash) after s enough to cure the wax.



I started using this method with zymol as it is what i was told to do by there technical director however i have since started using it on other waxes and found it works well.





so if you wanted you could get two coats of LPS in one day you could wiht no problems

Note my edits in BOLD above. I've had some recent cases of 476S *not* wanting to layer within a short time frame, no matter *what* I tried :nixweiss Normally you're right, but when it doesn't work it results in irritating "pseudo holograms" that can be a PIA to get rid of.



But you brought up a great point with the cold water- either used like that, or with a spitshine technique of some kind, it can make all the difference :xyxthumbs
 
A minimum of a day at a time always worked well for me. Under any case, more than two rounds of a nub at one shot may actually produce more unwanted haze as opposed to a clear shine.

IMO to layer a liquid nuba is a waste of time and product. Most liquid nubas have some solvents as a carrier and will remove the layer below.
 
irritating "pseudo holograms" is what I have now after 1 layer. I think its the heat/humidity.



According to Autogeek, this wax CAN be layered.



Overkill... If rule #1 of Autopia isn't: There is no such thing as overkill, then its gotta be up there pretty high.

Some of 'em do layer though, Collinite 845, Griot's BOS (yuck) and Malm's liquid come to mind. I kinda expected it from the 845, but I was as surprised as anybody about the Malm's and Griot's- but (properly controlled ;)) testing made it obvious. They must set up in some way that the solvents/carriers don't disrupt :think: :nixweiss
