A friend of mine repaired a 2000 Dodge Dakota for a friend of his to take to Fort Makemoney. It was parked under a Douglas Fir Tree for three years so it was covered in sap, black soot and of course, BC's provincial flower, moss.
The wash job took four hours. (Including the engine bay) Removal of the sap was done with pure mineral spirits, this went really well. The soot came off with Poorboy's SSR2.5. I finised it off with KLasse AIO and SG.
I removed the seats to clean the interior, apparently a family of dogs lived inside the cab for a few years. To remove the odor from the interior I used a GM Odor Eliminator. This is great stuff. A friend of mine left a styrofoam cooler with a salmon on his seat one day and it leaked. He tried everything to get rid of the smell. When we used this odor eliminator, no more smell.
I would post some pictures if I can figure out how. The truck turned out pretty good and it only took me two days.
