This 2003 Dodge RAM 2500 was a rarity where you have a King Cab and a Full Bed along with of course the Hemi. MAN what a truck, but it surely was hurting when it came into my shop. The owner asked for a lundry list of items to complete this detail and that is where the story begins.
On the laundry list we had to repair a large section of "missing paint" on the corner of the door jamb, a large amount of rock chips on the front hood, various scratches on the tailgate (it looked like a raccoon scratched it), an area of egg etching, and of course your normal RIDs and swirls.
I was lucky to have the assitance of "Got Leather (DJ)" and "Jeff (not an autopian member, yet). Anyhow let us begin our story. I took a trip to the local automotive store and got some Duplicolor 2in1 Deep Garnett Red Pearl for the door jamb, scratch and rock chips. I already had some touch up clear from PaintScratch.com which is some great stuff.
On with the detail.
Wash - ONR

Ready for polishing. Boy that pad seems small for this truck.
Process was PFW and #105 1800k
White pad #105 1500-1100-900
LSP -2 Coats Zaino Z5 Pro/ZFX.

Every part of this detail required complete coverage of all areas.

After (Not perfect, but it almost blends in).
Here is a "close to finished pic" (1 layer of Zaino & no Dressing) of the truck. I still had to work another 3 hours to finish off the final touches.
I unfortunalty did not get a final pic of the completed truck from the owner. As soon as I do I will post it. I wished that I could have kept the truck in the shop longer. It became a great advertising piece. It was a project that touched upon many different areas of detailing.
