While doing some research like a good business owner does, I stumbled upon a local drive thru car wash. I went to their wesite( really ugly site too) I went to their FAQ page and found this:

Why do I need to go to a carwash, rather than just washing it at home in my driveway?Professional car washes are gentler to auto finishes than the hose-and-bucket method, and cleaning solutions used are specifically formulated for clearcoat and other new car finishes. An added benefit is that most professional washes use biodegradable cleaning solutions and dispose of wastewater according to strict environmental regulations.

And the best one of all...this was a package offered by a different Automatic Car Wash place near me...

Buff’n Shine*

Includes: Spray Wax. A specially formulated Spray Wax is hand applied to the finish of your vehicle. Then the Buff’n Shine machine buffs and shines the entire finish of your vehicle in 12 minutes which gives it a lustrous, wet look

12 Minutes!?!?:wow: Are they for real?!?!:bat

This machine better not make itself here...Ill be out of businezz if it does :p :p Dang..we'll all be outta businezz.

Ahh that thing still cracks me up...and its rigth down the street from me...how come Americans are soo damn lazy!!

But it leaves your finished "lusterous and wet looking in only 12 Min"!! Now if only I can polish out a car in 12 min...i would be killin' it around here!!

That truck has a MN plate in the windshield.

I wonder if it came off when the truck went through last time. :spit:

Isn't that style of automatic wash a little tough on trucks with visors, too? :chuckle:

I wonder where in MN that is located? :nixweiss

Funny seeing this machine again! I know a shop that applies their paint sealant treatments through a similar machine. Their set up has super soft cloths that are extensively coated with sealant that works awsome and does not scratch the vehicle. They spray on the liquid sealant via a paint gun sprayer and the machine spreads, coats and removes 90% of it. All you need do is a light wipedown and it's perfect. If done & maintained properly, this could be a very valueable tool in a high volume operation. We owned a similar machine (Ford Rotunda) and had nothing but problems because it was on it's last leg. We probably ran several 100 cars thru it back in the day before it totally broke down. You'd also have to remove all the loose trim from the vehicle (wipers/antennas/bug guards) before running it through.
