Thought I'd introduce you to my baby

Now I don't have a great camera like you guys and I'm certainly no photographer, but here's the best I've been able to take.

She's a 2003 SVT Cobra with 9k miles on her. I got it bone stock last year with just over 7k miles on it. There are way too many mods to list all of them, but the highlights are:

Whipple 2.3L Gen II supercharger with 3.1" pulley, JLT intake, Magnaflow exhaust, Steeda springs, True Forged Chicane 18x10 and 18x9 billet aluminum rims with BFG drag-radials and KDW's.

My tuner was able to squeak in the tune right before Atco Raceway closed for the season and the first time I ran her, she turned an 11.19 @ 128 MPH. Since then I added a high flow cat pipe (stock has FOUR cats) which my tuner believes will get me over the 130 MPH trap speed I'm looking for and into the 10's for sure. My street tune which employs a mild timing setting and enables me to run pump fuel safely, turned out 585 RWHP and 549 lbs. feet of torque. Well, enough bragging, here she is.

I just found the non OTC world of detailing, so right now its just wearing Gliptone Carnauba paste. HOWEVER, I just received my shipment of Dodo Juice Purple Haze, Lime pre-wax cleaner, Optimum Car Wax, Poorboys World Natural Look, Trim Restorer, Bold N Bright Tire dressing, Wheel Sealer, Adams Polish #1 and #2 aluminum polish and some other goodies.

I just had surgery on my wrist and am laid up for a few weeks, but as soon as I can, this things gonna be completely re-detailed. I can't wait. I'm actually thinking about ordering a Porter Cable 7424, but I think I'm going to try hand applying some of this stuff first and then go from there.

I have to be honest, I never knew that there was such a huge world out there. I only new about OTC stuff and until my dad turned me onto this site, I never really knew that there was anything wrong with the way I was taking care of my cars paint and finish. That's all changed now and I've absolutely been bitten by yet another car modding bug!

Yeah, it's not a hobby...it's a lifestyle, lol! Welcome.

I've have a tin of Gliptone Carnauba paste wax. Though not very durable, it's a decent OTC product and looks good on your car. Must be a real beast to drive on the street! Welcome to the forum! :up

Beautiful car man, that's the exact color I would get if I ever was fortunate enough to get a cobra :)

Awesome :up

Thanx for all the compliments guys. This car is a beast, no question about it. I really can't wait to see how it looks after some really good products and some of the tips and tricks I learned on here, are applied to an already like new finish. I'll be sure to get some pics up here as soon as I can get this wrist working again.

Can you go into detail about your mods? Ive got a tune from Matt Hill on my car right now. Might be a Cobra in my future...

I sure can, I just didn't want to bore everyone with the details. I've known Matt for a long time. He's been tuning my cars for almost 10 years and my 00 GT was one of the first majorly modified cars that he tuned. He nailed it and has been been nailing my tunes ever sicne. Anyway, here's everything I can think of. I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff, but this gives you the idea.

Air / Fuel Delivery:

Whipple 2.3 liter Gen II supercharger, 3.1" Reichard Racing non slip blower pulley, JLT High Boost intake, SCT BA2400 MAF, Lightning Force Performance big oval throttle body, Siemens Dekka 60# fuel injectors, Fragola -8AN fuel line from tank to rails, Aeroforce 10 Micron -10AN inline fuel filter, Fore Precision billet twin pump fuel hat, Ford Racing GT twin fuel pumps, Lethal Performance twin Fuel Pump Driver Module set up with complete 10 gauge wiring to pumps and 8 gauge main power line, Lightning Force Performance dual pass heat exchanger.

Exhaust:

Magnaflow full stainless cat back, MRT stainless high flow H-Pipe, stock manifolds.

Suspension / Drive-train:

Steeda Sport lowering springs, Maximum Motorsports 4 bolt caster/camber plates, full length sub-frame connectors, full polyurethane IRS bushing kit, Billet Flow IRS dif brace, True Forged Chicane 18x10 rear rims with BFG 315/30-18 Drag Radials and 18x9 front rims with BFG KDW 255/40-18, MGW billet shifter with MGW custom boot, Fiore clutch quadrant and firewall adjuster.

Miscellaneous:

Billet Flow four peace billet idler set, True Forged polished intercooler tank, True Forged Icey Res prototype aftercooler, Invictus custom head cooling mod, Kar Kraft wrinkle coated cam covers, custom billet coil covers, custom PCV system oil separator, Fore Precision anodized billet hood vents, MRT hood strut kit, SLP line lock.

Interior:

SOS dual gauge pillar pod, 2 Aeroforce multi scan gauges, Hurst anodized billet pistol grip shifter, Clarion MAX685BT double din touch screen DVD/Nav unit, 6 Infinity speakers for mids and highs, Infinity 10" sub in custom box, two Infinity amps running all 7 speakers, all Monster Cable audio cables.

I think that just about does it. I'm in the process of planning out a solid rear axle build, clutch upgrade and few other drive-train upgrades, but for the most part I'm tired of wrenching for now and just want to enjoy the car for a little while. I do all my own work and it takes a toll on you when do all that work while juggling a very time consuming career. It leaves you very little time to actually enjoy it by the time its all done.

I felt the same way what so much I didn't know now I know.

PS your car is looking sweet
