HAHAHAHA! HAs to be fake or the guy is an idiot. If he knew how to take the spark plugs out, he would have know at least something about the workings of an engine...
 
I agree what he did is not very Autopian. He should have used a different cleaner than Simple Green, maybe all purpose 303. He he, Wes
 
It has to be fake. The guy know how to take the sparkplugs off, and know the pistons could have carbon on them, and doesn't know about hydrolock? come on...:nixweiss
 
Sounds like this guy (admittedly a little naive) is out an engine block



I remember a thread-describing engine cleaning on a detailing forum giving similar advice. I posted to add-

âہ“Use cling-film or Saran wrap elastic covers to cover any sensors, electrical black boxes, electrical devises that could cause an electrical short-circuits if subjected to water spray.

This will not guarantee that you wont cause a problem when cleaning an engine bay but it will greatly reduce the risksâ€Â�. The response from the guy who started the thread was that âہ“Everyone knows thatâ€Â�



Lesson to be learned: Choose carefully the advice you listen to and more importantly act upon.

And we owe it to other readers not to assume that âہ“Everyone knows thatâ€Â�

I think this is better than the one I heard yesterday. Husband: "Dear, are you changing the oil in your car regularly?" Wife: "Didn't think I had to because I keep putting in new oil when the oil level drops too low several times a year."
 
What I think the real sad part is how everyone is making him feel worse. I didnt see any need for probably 80% of the posts telling him he was an idiot. Its bad enough that he made the mistake but rubbing it in his face, is pretty low.



It was a huge mistake however, but I didnt find it all that funny.
 
If he has the know how to take the plugs out and pistons then he knows about hydrolocking his engine....it either a false story or he's on crack, and doestn deserve to breath the same air as us :(
