This why REAL PRO's have to explain their prices...

Tex Star Detail

Formerly TexasTB
Pulled off Craigslist....

I want hard workers paid daily. - $150 (South Park Mall)
I am looking for hard working energetic responsible individuals .

This consists of an outside car detailing job which you will be making money on a daily basis.
You need to present yourself with a Texas ID and a royal blue shirt.
- No interior car cleaning will be done.

WHAT YOU NEED :
Car washing products such as:

YOUR OWN:

Ten (10) Soft micro fabric rags .
Windex for windows.
Tire foam/ Armor all for tires (to make them look WET).
Not necessary but makes your job easier & will help you
earn more money spray wax and degreaser.
All this items can be purchased at the dollar store.

Most of my workers make over $100 daily. I need individuals

who will show up AT LEAST 6 times a week.

When you begin working you will be given $10 shirt you can pay it off as you wash cars.
The shirt has our business logo on it ( GENESIS CAR WASH).

You will be renting a pressure washing machine to wash cars within the parking lot.

The machine will cost you depending on the amount of money you made/cars washed.

It will never be more than $50. If you DON'T make any money (which is nearly impossible)
you don't pay a penny.

You charge the customers depending on size/color/dirtyness
I personally have a customer that comes every weekend that pays 65$ to get his truck detailed.
That depends on you, you can charge $15 or $50 but the thing is getting the deal .
The price people are used to is $25 a car and $30-$35 a truck. ( 10 Cars = 250$+ )

This is a WIN WIN situation;if you are motivated and hard working you will be bringing
more than $200 home every night from 9am-9pm. You may leave anytime as long as you pay
the rent. Rent is collected after 3pm .

- No sagging!

Geeez...

I would print out the add and post it in your shop so your customers can see it. Hopefully it will scare them straight and not ask why you charge more than another place. :)

I was up in Raleigh, NC visiting some friends and we decided to cruise the "nice" car lots after hours to look at what we can't afford. The Maseratti dealership had a crew spraying the cars with a power washer in the bed of a pick-up truck, 2 guys were running hard wiping the cars dry afterwards. I never saw any towel changes, just use the same one for 15-25 -whatever, drop it? no problem, pick it up, shake it off, 10 second rule - right?,and go on. The cars looked scratched to hell under the lights, and these weren't 20 year old beaters - these were brand new 100K+ cars!!

Later that weekend I traded the problem child Ford Taurus for a new 2012 Camry from Leith Toyota. I have to say, it's a much better car and Leith knows how to clean one without scratching it. I will be updating my avitar soon!

Leith Lincoln just down the road also seems to do a good job too although I never saw how the cars on the lot were washed.

I actually met the guy who prepped the cars since I inspected it with him after he washed it for delivery.

I'm not exactly sure what Leith uses, but, it's good quality whatever it is. I did pass on the "Simonize" extra profit scam all the F&I managers push. Here's a hint, pick up your new car late Friday night when those guys want to go home really bad! After passing on the extra warranties and gap insurance, he pretty much gave up and started the sign here, print there, initial this, etc at warp speed.

I still haven't found time to properely detail it, seems like if the weather breaks, then something else takes my time. But, let it rain, or turn cold and I have nothing to do and nothing on TV!

Oh - and man, I can't believe how many car dealers are in that stretch of road now!

Good tip. They hold you hostage while waiting for the paper work and non-stop selling on protection packages, extended warranties, etc while with the business guy. They really annoy me.
