This One Was Thrashed!!

Beemerboy

Just One More Coat
It's a term that I see posted on many detail forums, signaling how bad the condition of the vehicle is in.

The pics posted in most cases don't even come close to (what I think) is thrashed.

Having been an auto detail enthusiast for 40 plus years, my perception of thrashed is much different.

The two inside pics of this car represent thrashed to me.

The one of the truck qualifies as abused paint with a good rotary polishing it will come back to life no problem. (and it did)

That said if any of you follow my posts, you know me as one that questions statements of posters at times.

It's not done to be vindictive but more of interest on my part.

Thanks

Yeah I would have to agree. Thats the definition of thrashed. I hope you took some afters of that truck.

I did this was a paint over-spray job, nightmare to say the least but it came out like new again.

I had an interior like that before to work with too. I didn't know what I was getting myself into and was hating life the entire time. Then when I was finished I got a great big hug and thanks from the owner which made me feel worse because of all the negative thoughts I had while working on it lol. The exterior was bad too but luckily I was only called for a clay and wax.

nice job
he try to paint it blue, or just use the truck as a prop for whatever he was painting?

That was a can of spray paint he hit on the freeway, and it had been on the truck for two years. Thanks to Acetone it was removed.

I did tell him that if he could do the same to the other side it would look custom

This might qualify....

when i first read this thread i though you had turned a honda accord into a diesel chevrolet-magic

and dont you love how you look at people differently after you have cleaned the interior of their nasty habits and lack of cleanliness--but then again i guess thats what were here for and if not for those types of people most of us would be out of business

I have a contract to do Repo's for a finance company, last week they called me in to do a Chicken farm truck...

I hated life for about 4 hours.
