Looking to purchase the following products . Let me know what you think and maybe if I should add anything . Vehicle is a Black Tahoe . I was thinking Megs on this but after reading many posts on Poorboys I thought i would give them a try .

Wash- 4* Ultimate Wash
Clay -Mothers
Swirl Remover _ PB SSR2
Polish -Poorboys Professional
Wax - natty

I am trying these products for the first time , I have been a Megs 3 step guy for awhile . Switching brands is not easy , almost feel like I am turning may back on them :( .

you should be very happy with that purchase. you could add a sealant to the list too. like EX-P or UPP, have heard great things about both.

One thing you might want to add is Poorboy's Spray & Wipe. Just did my van with it this morning in 38 degree weather. Should ship pretty cheap with the dollar amount you are spending.
Wash- 4* Ultimate Wash
I have heard nothing but good things about this product.
Clay -Mothers
Only have used Claymagic, but it seems like all Mother's products are good. No reason why the clay wouldn't be.
Swirl Remover _ PB SSR2
If your paint is in pretty good shape to start with SSR1 might be all you need
Polish -Poorboys Professional
Another good product, but I actually prefer PwC, Polish with Carnauba. Just another opinion.
Wax - natty
Another product that seems to get nothing but good reviews. (I haven't used it)

Meguiar's was my product line of choice for a lot of years. I still use several of their products.

a great combo on black could also be PP->SSR1->EX->S100 or Natty's depending on whether you want a wet look, a very reflective shine, or a bit of both. WG & UPP would also be great on dark vehicles as previously mentioned.

See how difficult a 'final list" really is?
If you listen to us, you will need to sell the house to buy detailing supplies.
:D

You need to try Poorboys Natural Look, Bold n Bright for tires, EX or EX-P and most of all Spray & Wipe.

It was the Spray and Wipe that got me started using Steve's stuff and all his products are the nuts! You'll never be sorry you got a bottle of the S&W!!

So let me get this right , if I wanted too I can go in this order ,PP->SSR1->EX->S100 or Natty's . And then add a sealant ?

EX is a sealant with carnuba. The EX will produce a wetter look on dark colored vehicles than EX-P. You can use EX-P instead of EX if you want a sealant with no carnuba.

Nope.:)
EX is a sealant and should be used prior to S100 or Nattys just as you have it listed. A wax can go over a sealant, most sealants should not be applied over a wax.

Personal order preference regardless of product.
1. Wash car with car wash shampoo
2. Use swirl remover
3. Use polish
4. Apply sealant (or wax)
5. Apply wax over the sealant if you so desire. (I don't)

PP will clean & prep the surface - no fillers & I believe no abrasives or very mild

SSR1 will remove most minor scratches and swirls and leaves a nice wet look

EX will protect your work and the carnuba will give the finish a nice glow

S100 is just a great topper that will enhance your shine and that wet look for dark vehicles i.e that 'POP' some people are looking for

Hope that helps!! :D

:yeah

I would stay away from anything mothers....go with claymagic or something comparable. (I am going to try one from adams polishes) I had a claymagic and found nothing wrong with it.

Mothers and meguirs bars are both pretty much the same in my opinion. Ive had both, and they were both pretty hard and didnt "feel" like they were picking much stuff out of the paint. With the claymagic bar, when you first start using it, you can feel and hear particles comming out of the paint, and eventually the paint becomes smooth in that area, then you move onto the next. With the mothers and meguiars bars, they just kind of slid around on the surface, not really doing anything.

Just a clarification. Don't try to apply a sealant like UPP over the S100. It wont bond right.
