Third times a charm...

Patrick, no offense intended but seeing you make posts like this just reminds me of those bad times past and yet to come. Next month for me again.

So how did it come out HP? Did they did the job right for you? Hope it's the last time for you. Take care and hope your recovery is for the better......

Oh suck.. man your going in for more work also...
Unfortunately, 5 months after my knee replacement it's still as big around as a coffee can. It's literally 6 inches larger in circumference than my other leg. Apparently the problem is in the ITB (Iliotibial Band). They believe it is rubbing on the new hardware and causing inflamation. I don't believe this is the problem. I think that there is some scar tissue under this band from a previous surgery. The inflamation forces the new hardware out of track and it's quite painful, hot and swollen. I've had 3 different surgeons now tell me the same story. It appears they will open the knee up on the outside and remove a wedge from this band. I don't even know what to believe at this point. I've decided to wait at least 6 months from the replacement and have them scope the problem as oppossed to opening me up. If they see a problem then they can make the cut.

well i hope that both of you get better. I have to look forward to an ACL repair too i completely tore it 4 years ago on my dirt bike and have not stopped growing for them to repair it. The did do a surgery to remove the torn ACL and meniscus. Man are we a mess here lol
