Third times a charm. Pics, no 56K

I had struggled with Mothers 3-step products and some so-called professional products I finally got my hands on some products commonly discussed on this board. It started with the Klasse twins. I used only one application of AIO and stared at it for weeks amazed at the shine. It was 100x better than any three step system and it was so easy to use.

Next I played around with UPP. I started with another application of AIO, then 1x UPP. The first application was nice but I had to wait a week for layer 2. Layer 2 didn't impress but 24 hours later I hit it with Layer 3 and here are the results. The finish is clean and clear. It almost looks like a different color now. Thanks goes out to the city.

AIO 2x
UPP 3x
whats next? Nattys maybe?

I think you underestimate the power of 56K. Not all pictures that are uploaded will choke a dialup user. These took less than 30 seconds to load. They look good. :bigups

Wow!

Very VERY wet!

Make sure you spray those wheel wells with some dressing :)

Spray some No-Touch tire care from Costco in the wheel wells . The paint looks great . I have those same products and love 'em. Are you using a r/o or rotary Robman? what speed and pad combo did you use?

From your pics it looks like you might be in Waikele? I'm a couple blocks down the road..great post and pics ..

I usually put some failed tire care prodcut under there but with the weather the way it has been this weekend it was amazing I was able to squeeze in the paint care.

Everything was applied by hand, still looking for a PC. And yes, I am in Waikele.

Aloha,

Robert

Hey Robman I thought the background in your pics looked familiar. I'm about 2 blocks down from you . I'm detailing a Tahoe on wednesday at my house on Lumikula St. so if you see my green Honda Element stop by and say hello. Or if you want to check out my PC and give it a try, also stop by anytime.Aloha Jon

ha! thats pretty cool. are you guys around mililani (milivilli)? anyways, great job. now what you should do is just stand back and admire you car and your work.

btw, when did you manage to take those shots? its been raining all weekend for it. it rained on my car twice!!!! two coats of UPP, two days of rain!!! ahhh

Zesty , just south of Mililani, I'm across Kam hwy . Diamond head side of Waikele shopping center . Its actually called Crestview. We have a Waipahu mailing address. sorry to get way off topic guys.
doing the altima robman all by hand takes alot of work man ..great job again.

very nice work, especially by hand.

definitely check-out hawaiianelement's PC, it's nice to get an hands-on offer before buying ..... which I'm sure you will after "road testing" it.

Thanks for all the awesome replies. Great to see finally be able to really participate in all the detailing that goes on here.

zesty-man: I did the first coat on Saturday Morning and the Second on Sunday Morning. It rained most of both of those afternoons as you are aware. It was a real race against Mother Nature. BTW, I live alongside the H1, just west of Waikele Shopping center.

HawaiianElement: Thanks much for the offer. I might take you up on that once I get my Xterra back from Nissan. Its going to be in their lot for 4 weeks waiting on a new supercharger and I know its going to be a mess!

NYV6Coupe: Thanks for the comments, those products make it so much easier that I dont even realize the extra work involved by not having a PC. Clearly my next step will be to start with a PC. I may be getting another vehicle soon, given the problems I've been having with the Xterra I've decided to try my hand at the Lemon Law and that might mean yet another car to play with.

Aloha All,

Thanks Again
