This is the worste spot on the whole car. Its obvious someone tried to clean off something with like steel wool or a scratch pad of some kind.

These images are after 3 passes with my rotary+wool medium cut wool pad+ megs #83 at 2000rpm's..........

Barely dented the scratches.

This part of the car needs to be wetsanded and buffed out and there are a few other areas just like it. Dunno if he wants to pay for that yet though.

Dunno if i even wanna do it.

The owner and myself have made some conclusions on how it had happened and with my experiance and his eye for detail we can only conclude that a scratch pad or steel wool was used to clean certain parts by the previuos owner.

Right now im waiting on him to decide if he even wants me to continue on the vehicle.

The claying for that one spot was also a nightmare, i have pics of that too.

Beautiful car IMO. The body lines are sexy, the color is to die for and its mechanicaly sound in every way.

You might want to invest in or borrow a RO air sander - I bet a RO with 2500 grit would save hours over hand sanding.

I will only wetsand if they are willing to pay for it. Since its rare that anyone wants to pay for that i wouldnt get a whole lot of use out of it.

Wait a minnit....ALL the pics are after 3 passes with wool/rotary/83??

Yup

Only have seen 2 cars worsethan that. Both weregoing to the self wash car wash and using the foaming brush that others had usd on mud on their trucks or on tires. Scratch city from the gravel in the bristles. Also from when people use dirty snow brushes to remove snowoffvehicles. That hood wont ever look right unless iits wet sanded or repaint. OH MY! RANDAL
