i was wondering how many of you guys out there, aside from liking to keeping your car in tip top shape, find detailing your car theraputic.

i know for a fact when it feels like my head is gonna explode from stress to the world we live in, detailing my car takes me away from all that for a little while, any feedback would be appreciated.

It is totally theraputic for me as well. I can spend hours doing it and won't be as tired as doing any other physical work that is a lighter load.

Its the same for me...I can spend all day working on a car and come away feeling relaxed...and a bit sore:D

There are times that its work for me, mainly when I have a customers car and don't really want to, but need / want the extra cash

Count me in on that. I enjoy the work that goes into it and also the "instant" gratification that comes from seeing the results unfold before my eyes.

count me in, sometimes i don't even feel the need to eat im so involved and into it .My body just will not get tired or hungry when im detailing (very strange as i am a very lazy boy lol)

no doubt.
been a real s****y month.

applied to pepsi, to get a real job.
i have 8 years machine exp.

they are looking for machine operators.
never heard a thing...yet.:wall

current job is changing, now i am being moved to data entry.:mad:vomit:

my head is ready to explode.

been very depressed lately and just want to sleep.

but detailing keeps my mind at ease.

been very depressed lately myself, family stuff, the "f" word, but i go in the garage, shut the door and i'm in another world. i personally like having an outlet, detailing in this case, just to escape from the stress, what ever it is.

Therapeutic Detailing
Pockets, I would have certainly pictured you as one who were involved with some type of therapy. :D

In a similar boat with family stuff. I am stayin at my moms right now and moved all my detailing stuff there. To help me relax I have detailed my moms 02 Elantra that I doubt has been washed in a good 2 years and my sisters 07 Mazda 6. Plus keeping up with my car. I hope to tackle my stepdads DD soone as well.

Same for me. I get PO'd at the world and it's time to clean a car or more. I gonore phones (ex important business) and everybody and just start.

I'm with you on this! It is a great stress reliever. I like getting in the driveway and/or garage, alone, listening to music and detailing the car.

Same here, when I'm cleaning its the only thing I have to focus on, really clears the head and takes you some where else for awhile. I used to get the same feeling when I use to paint cars.

You know the old saying that "God is in the details" may apply here. ;)

Wash my car this morning and was tired from it:passout: It hasn't been wash in 6 weeks and now i have to go outside and do a pass of Z8.

Reddwarf and I think alike. I go into the garage, turn on some tunes and forget any worries I might have for the next 8-10 hours. Come inside get some dinner, jump in the pool and then light up a good cigar. Ahhh the perfect day!
