the trunk of your car

What, are you kidding? Lately, I've been using my BMW (that's "Big Money Waster") like a truck. My trunk is a mess. Im fact, my whole car is a mess! I'd be embarrased to show you. The king of clean has a dirty car. True confessions from a detailing adict. :shocked
 
We're trying! Of the 4 cars I own, this is the only one with a trunk, so it's like a new challenge. How quaint, a hidden place to put things, wonder why they didn't think of this before?

Having a family seems to me to mean the trunk has a lot of strange things thrown in it. But every month I hover and clean everthing.



I recently removed all the internal trim from the trunk to polish and wax, and then found the trunk area has been resprayed :( and resprayed badly :mad: But I do the best I can

last weekend upon cleaning and vacuuming the car I cleaned out the trunk completely, going to put some spray bottles and mf's for the summer soon.



This pic is from two winters ago, but the trunk still looks the same :)

Besides today after hauling 60 landscaping blocks and 10 bags of paver fill my cargo area is usually spotless.I have a Catch-All cargo mat and an old army blanket covering that. I usually only carry my work tools or grocerys in the back.
 
My trunk doesn't have room for dirt. :)

Its not empty but at least its organized. I'm going to take it all out as soon as I have my garage. I'll just take what I need when I need it after that.
 
My trunk is always spotless! Why? Because I use my backseat as my trunk! LOL. It's a good thing that 99% of the time nobody sits in the back.

It's not that bad......but I should vacuum it out a little more often after going to the beach!
 
My wife and I are DINKS ( Duel Income No KidS ). Both trunks clean and detailed. I am excessively obessive about completely detailed cars. The hidden places are the true test of being anal. A dirty trunk is like wearing a nice suit with dirty under clothes. The Z28's trunk is empty except for tonneau cover. Not even detailing equipment because I do not detail on the road. I'm afraid I may marr the finish from quick detailing and instant gratification. The Lexus has a Road Atlas, CD and and tapes.

The daily driver... well :scared

I do need to clean it out because the sounds are going in pretty soon. :D
 
I clean the bed of my truck everytime I wash....a big PIA but worth it.....Ps I have learned not to put anything on the Heavy rubber mat in the back as everything slides around....



I have not cleaned inside the side storage boxes yet...but I have filled them with beer and ice does that count??:D
