The Tesla Tractor is real

Tesla put on a demo today at my work with their two tractors that they’re bringing to market. They also brought a Model S P100D, Model X P100D and a Model 3.
Seeing a truck pulling 50,000 pounds and not making a sound (other than tires rolling) is very odd. I will say it was quite exciting to see them today. Kept waiting for a Tron bike to roll out the trailer.

My pleasure. Heard mileage will range 500-600 and not sure of max load, but they were loaded with 50k today. Like it or not, it was exciting to see something like this in my lifetime. When I got into diesel, never in my wildest dreams would I have thought there would be a fully electric tractor on the road.

Hey Tony, Tractor is the same as Big Rig. These current Tractors are governed at 65 mph.

Cool. Big rigs cause a lot of bad accidents and are big polluters. If Tesla ever gets their autonomous driving technology where it, at least, is good for interstate travel it should reduce the incidence of major accidents. This is a step in the right direction.
