The 110 volt version of the Rupes® LHR 21ES ELECTRIC 6" BigFoot Random Orbital Polisher are available in the USA via buffdaddy.com. They have received the CSA certification for safety. However- the newest of these machines will not have a CSA tag affixed to them. Instead, I will send you a copy of the certificate stating that the machine has passed the CSA's stringent certification program. I decided to import these units rather than wait an undetermined amount of time.





Price:

Introductory price is $399.95 (barring any unforeseen pricing changes, which I do not expect). A $5.00 flat rate shipping fee will apply, which is a regular deal at buffdaddy.com. It'll cost quite a bit more to send these out, but as I list on the buffdaddy site... I'll split the cost with you!





Orders:

Although I've got a list going of the guys that want this machine, the requests have been spread over the past ten months. I would appreciate it if those interested could e-mail or text me ASAP, as I want to be sure I've got everybody covered. It takes a large stash of cash to bring these machines in, and I'm not flush to my shoulders with cash! Hey, buffdaddy.com is still a one-man band!



Even though I'm not asking for a pre-order fee, it would be nice to know which among you want a BigFoot so I won't be sitting on too many extras for a long period of time (I don't think it'll happen once the reviews start rolling in). As it stands, I think I've got about 33-34 solid requests for the machine.

Yes, although not super heavy on the four different liquids... just some of each in case there are requests for them.

Does this machine have a forced rotation assembly similar to that of the Flex 3401 or does it use a free rotating spindle assembly making it like a PC style DA on steroids? I have looked through the technical drawings and it appears that there a sort of housing that possibly has a ring gear inside of it similar to the Flex offering, but looking at the parts breakdown or exploded view, it also appears that there could be a free rotating spindle assembly.



Bottom line is that I'm simply not interested in a machine that works just like a Flex 3401 made by a different manufacturer as I already own 2 Flex 3401 units. However, if there is a high quality machine sporting a free rotating spindle assembly with a larger orbit and faster cutting action than that of the PC style machines, I'll be on board for something like that for sure.



I know you're a busy man especially with SEMA coming up soon, and I'm in no hurry to buy a new toy. Please at your convenience if you would, shed some light on how this machine works compared to the PC or the Flex 3401 here in this thread or direct me to the literature that will explain the difference/similarities.

Have you ever stuck a foam pad on the AK150 or AK200? I'm looking forward to seeing the Bigfoot at SEMA, but an electric planetary sander would have my undivided attention.

One Great answer here old man!!! :rofl 21mm throw. It is going to cover a lot of surface area fast, and will level paint nicely. This machine is a defect killer!

As best I can tell, the only "advantage" the new GG6 has over the old one is ergonomics..... the Rupes' 21mm stroke gives it a lot faster material removal power.

the motor is still the same as the previous version, the only difference now is the ergonomics as well as the rubber on top of the polisher & bale handle...
