The Perfect Halloween Detail

Brenton

aka PEI Detail
It is a great day to show up at your shop and see this vehicle sitting at the door:

I landed the contract to do their 2 lead cars and 2 hearses (sp??-I have no idea!). At first it was just paint care, but I think they would like their maintenance guy moving on from vacuuming.

Pretty cool.

It had this funny smell...

Just kidding--but they did ask for deoderant. I think they do their best to keep it clean.

o0o man! speaking of those "things" the other day in an intersection there was one of those. it was empty, just the driver. the sun was beaming from the other side so i could only see the shaded passenger side. i was in awe at how clear it was and surpised to say the least. then it pulls away to make its left turn and bam! come in the halos, swirls, spider webbing. soooo many it was unbelievable for a car to look soo decent from one perspective and bad form another,...

soo yea thats my story...

time to eat paste!

This one had some swirl marks but few holograms. I AIO'd, but have convinced the guy next time he needs better protection (I did 2 apps of Souveran, so should be good) and buffing.

Yeah business is up this week. I have a really good week planned--even though I'm sick enough to be in bed.

They dropped off the lead car today. Needs to be polished next time.

Got a lot of comments on the hearse/hurse, whatever.

Great detail PEI... and what a day for it! LOL

Hey, you've mentioned a couple times that you have contracts with
companies in your area. I'd like to be able to do that, but I need some
pointers.

Could you share your thoughts with me? What are the terms of your
contracts? What types of businesses contract with you? etc.

Thanks, man!

peace,
michael

Hey Michael.
In my area, written contracts don't go over well, but a verbal promise has a lot of weight. I have a half dozen dealers that send me a car or two a month--hopefully that will grow over the next year. I also do detailing for a couple of companies. My winter job is securing the fleet work to pay for our bread and butter while the walk-ins pay for the cheese.

Yikes! Yeah that's a perfect Halloween detail. Empty or not those cars are always creepy. I always see at least one regular joe driving one of those in Hollywood. Great job & congrats on the contract.

Thanx hemin8r. Would you believe that the guy who owns the funeral home is named "Sonny Coffin". Talk about oxymoronic irony!

me and my wife seen a young kid leave the bar a couple nights ago and he was driving a hearse in great condition, i guess he was out looking for some stiffs at the bar  . i know it was bad but i couldn't resist.

Anyways congrats on your contract. with the quality of work you do i can only guess that your gonna get a lotta business through word of mouth.

thanx Joe. had a thrilled customer today, renewing an 04 Corolla that was destroyed. I hope it stays strong. We had our best week this week!

and btw all, I didn't mean "perfect" as in my work, but as in cool timing.

I just got some film developed with more pics of the hearse (wash, clay, KAIO throughout, buffing with SSR2.5 on pass back door, Souveran x2):

I was cropping this one and saw my son peaking in, so I left him :D :

Cropped (lots of length):

Some other pics:

The Owner's Personal Car (bad light, but the EX-P looked lovely):

This is one of the lead cars I did; dark, low light but not great pics; wish I got more pics but the Funeral Director showed up (wash, clay, KAIO, Souveran x2):
