Hello everyone! It has been quite a while since my last write up, but I felt this was a cool one that needed sharing!
So this F40 was at a Ferrari service center getting some work done in order to get it ready for it's new owner. My client wanted it looking presentable, so I was to do what I could within a day. Perfection was not the goal, just as much improvement as possible.
Tools/Products used:
Wash
-IronX
-LATA
-Fine clay mitt
-CG Citrus wash
Polish/LSP
-Rupes 15
-Rupes lhr75e
-B&S green pad
-LC 3" red
-HD Speed
-HD polish
-OPT OptiSeal
Soooooo, here she is! Ready to get some lovin!
As always, started with the tires, wheel wells, & wheels.
She was then foamed up to strip & clean any old wax.
Once washed & decontaminated, we moved it into the service center to continue.
Taped what little needed areas needed to be taped, & began polishing.
Got down & dirty for those hard to reach areas.
Door jambs got polished as well.
Some before & afters.
From the hood.
Gas cap.
Door Handle area.
Driver side inset area.
Engine cover.
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnddddddd after some non-stop hours she was done!
On a side note...I was working alongside this ALL DAY!!! Such a tease!
Overall I was happy with the progress. I wish they would have wanted to do more with it, but I gave my client what he wanted!
I can only hope I hear from the F40's neighbor to want some work done on it!
Thanks for looking!
