The Gloss Boss
You Mirin'?
Hey fellow detailers! I haven't been active on here in a while unfortunately, but I'd like to start posting more on here once again.
To kick my new activity off, I'd like to present, for everyone's viewing pleasure, a restoration I did this morning on a nasty pair of headlights. These headlights had it all; oxidation, yellowing, deep gouge-like scratches plus the design and surface of these particular headlights are complex. The complexity as most of you know makes things trickier especially during sanding.
Best of all this was a gratis job I did for my dad who is my oldest client and one of the biggest supporters of my business. After all he lets me use his shop!
Without further ado, here is the breakdown of the restoration.....
Tools and products:
Sandpaper grits...320 dry, 800 dry, 1500 wet
Polishes...M105, PF2500, PlastX
Pads...Meguiar's Headlight Kit (Wool, red foam, yellow foam)
Polishers: Drillmaster Piece of xxxx Rotary Buffer, Griot's 3"
MF Towels
Sonax Glass Cleaner
Tape
