The first WINTER BLAST of the season!!!

After cleaning and conditioning my seats with Lexol-ph and Lexol Conditioner some residue:eek: showed up on the towel when wiping excess conditioner. The residue was the same color as the seats; teal leather from a '97 Aurora. Is this normal?

This car is five years old from manu. date and my guess is that the leather has had little care in the past. The only visible wear is on the left edge of the driver's seat and lower left edge of the driver's seat back. Leather looks and feels great after detail.

By the way:D, I used a body wash applicator/scrubber that you use in the shower for the Lexol-ph. It produces awesome results! Great leathering and I believe just the right gentle abrasion for leather cleaning. I read it here a month or so back. Nice tip! :up

My guess is that you hit an area that was not cleared for some reason. Of course I am assuming that your leather is clear coated by the make/model. Factory error or simple wearing down of the clear are both possible answers here; very unlikely that the Lexol is the culprit.

Just read the thread posted by MM on Leather Seat Problem and it seems if I have a similar issue that Ron K. and others have provided some answers to therein.

Any further comments or advice would be appreciated.:D

It was unavoidable. Gonna happen every year.

The Winter Blast moved in last night. Hight today in KC... 8 degrees. 30 mph winds make the wind chill -20!

I can't even imagine how it is where Todd and his buddies are working on those frozen Muscle Cars!!!

[Ok, I'm over it.]

Are you getting it too?!

OK Angelo, STOP!

Bill, I just got off the phone with a member from Michigan and he said it was snowing and very cold also. Sorry to say it's around 73 here but not sunny.

It was 50 here an hour ago. Now the winds are increasing, bringing in the cold blizzard weather from the west of us.

We're under attack, but it's nothing new here in the Great Lakes Region.

I look forward to winter.:D

We got slammed here in Omaha. 10.2 I think is the final count.

here are a couple pics from yesterday - today.

The snow blower you see in the garage, I just got that from my gma. Its a 1971 Ariens Sno-Thro. Its awesome and plows right through just about anything!!!:clap::clap:

Blowing, snowing, cold her in MN too. We were just on the edge of the strong part of the storm and only got about 6"....lots of drifting going on today though.

LOL! Here is what my fiancee emailed me this morning... :D

OMFG. Seriously. This day is rotten. I had to shovel a spot for the dog (outside the kitchen when you go there at lunch), and I shoveled part of the driveway. And I have a HEADACHE. I put a bottle of water in my purse and it leaked and my iPhone's screen was jacked, so I turned it off to see if that would bring it back, and now it won't turn back on. I have the worst headache ever, and I just want to go home and start today over. :(

....and this is a girl who a week ago was complaining that we haven't had any snow yet!!!

Wow, thanks for sharing those pictures of the weather. Just make sure you put you detailing supplies away in a warm place in the house........

Cooooold in Denver with snow on the ground but the sun did come out this morning. Got this screen shot (missing it when it was -17F).

I wonder if Al Gore is seeing any of this??

Boy I dont miss that mess. Cars sliding all over the road, taking about 3 times as long to get anywhere, and talking to yourself while your car is warming up because it is so cold out.

I feel your pain! Last night I was leaving class at 10pm and there was, get this - condensation on my car! Unbelievable! It was so cold I had to turn the AC off and the seat heaters on. AND to make matters worse when I got home I found out the wife had had to turn on the furnace - what next!

Global warming my g'mas rear end!

I was scheduled tomorrow for a wash on a ACR and Superbee, but its really going to cool off by then (highs in the low 40s and windy.)

So the client was fine with me doing the washes today. It was 70? when I got there at 2:30 and still 60? when I was driving home at 6. Last day of nice weather for detailing I bet.

Feel bad for your guys in the snow, but willing to bet a year at the North Pole would make anything else seem like summer. Coldest I personally saw it was -84 deg; when it got all the way UP to 0 deg, we went outside in shorts and T shirts.
So cold the Dodge Power Wagon trucks (diesel), were running 24x7 AND plugged in at night to turn on the engine block heaters.

Here in the snowless for now Bellevue, WA., we are going on a second week of freezing temps only, got down to 17 deg last night and for most of the day was up to 20 or so. Ground is frozen now and upheaving wherever there was excess moisture, but no snow predicted for us until the weekend.

I hope when I get to detail next, I can get the hose to work, if not I will have to connect it to my laundry sink inside the mud room...

Hope you guys out there in the midwest and east are all ok and warm.

Bully for you guys in California !!! :):):)
