The Eternal Question

Unfortunately my DD has severe CC damage from the previous owner repainting passenger side rear quarter panel and door so it is tough to really care about the rest of the outside since it'll always look like crap. Hopefully in the next few months I will have a new car that I will be proud of. My wife's car however usually lives a mostly clean life unless I get a couple weekend jobs and can't get around to washing it but overall much cleaner than anything around.

My Speed3 isn't too dirty because, well, its never driven...
The Totoya Beater-Mobile is really dirty, cause, well, its driven...
The motorcycles are dirty because they are driven as well...

However, I have a beautiful lambswool Aussie Merino Wool Wash Mitt that is beggin for some exercise.

CBR is garaged and clean
S2000 garaged and clean
Plug in prius is garaged and clean
Toyo Taco dirty its a truck!

While my car is not near as filthy as everybody else's around here, I keep my daily driver respectably clean. We have a really muddy parking lot at work and when there's rain in the forecast I don't even bother. I have all season floor mats to protect the carpet, and enough coats of sealant on the paint cleaning don't take long. Here's an old picture of the lot for you guys to cringe at (yea it's snowy, but that's what it looks like when it rains:

Shame on you fellow detailers for driving filthy cars!

If you keep your vehicle clean it takes no time at all. I can do a wipe down on my van in 15 minutes because it never gets dirty and sits outside 24/7.:rockon

I understand and your forgiven, buit your still a horrible example for a detailer.:D

My truck is bad, but my wifes car is horrible. Black with grey cloth seats and it hauls 2 kids around. I did fabric guard the seats when we first got it, but that's as far as Ive got with it.
I don't think I care anymore

It sounds like you need a break or a vacation!

At least run it through the dreaded car wash. You cant do detailing work and drive a filthy vehicle. That just not right

I do need a break. Winter is coming soon and Ill have plenty of time to recharge. I run it through the cpin op from time to time. If I'm dealing with a new client or a judgmental one, Ill always clean it up nice first, but thats the extent of it.

CA DC you'd be proud of me. I spent 20 hours this weekend perfecting and Opti Coating the wifes car. Also done a headlight resto / Opti Lens and Opti Glass. Now its good for another 2 or 3 years ;)
