The durability of FK1 products is simply amazing

Long story short, My car has been in the repair shop for 4 and 1/2 months dealing with tranny issues. The car was 100 miles away so I could not wash it or anything. Within these 4 months it saw ONE car wash about a month ago and thats IT.

Below you will see the picture of how the car looked today when it was delivered off the tow truck.
The products I used were recomended to me by Mr. Meguire himself from FK1usa.com. He told me he thinks his product is the most durable of anythink on the market today. SO with his suggestion I used the following BEFORE my car went to the shop 4 and 1/2 months ago and sat outside more then half of this time in the south florida rain and elements.

-FK1 218 Cleaner and sealant conditioner
-FK1 2180 Poly sealant (high gloss)
both applied with a Porter Cable
-FK1 Pink wax (1 coat)
-425 Quick Detail used after every wash

4 and 1/2 months later the car arrived looking like this. I cant belive its beeding water still, im in shock. Keep in mind it hasnt been washed in a month. And I applied the FK1 products almost a month before the car went to the shop. So Im going to estimate 5 months without any wax/sealant or anything.

zaino never laser more then a month for me with the proper prep, but thats a whole other issue that doesnt need to be discussed in length here lol

If your car was indoors for 4 1/2 months and only washed once, that is really not that amazing IMO. The wax was not subjecting to washing mitts, sun, rain, snow or anything, just dust. If a car sat inside with the paint untouched for a year, I would think Turtle Wax would last the entire time. Again, JMO, no :flamed intended.
If the car sat OUTSIDE the repair shop the entire time, please disregard my statements.

the car sat outside MOST of the time. It was only inside when it was being worked on. The car was so bad at one point when I went up to see it I washed all the dirt and mud off of it. That was the only wash it saw the whole time.

4l60e? I feel your pain. Trust me.

ya 4l60e, most of the time it was down due to an attemped 4L80e swap, then teh last month was due to the converters Art Carr kept making wouldnt fit. It was a nightmare, but im more tehn happy to have it back and ready to do a full detail.

I hear ya man. It seems pretty hard to find a good trans builder. I'm glad to have my car back on the road. I've been running a Street Edge 9.5 inch 2800 stall in my car, and lovin' every second of it. Chopped my 60 foots down quite a bit from that B&M Holeshot I was running.

That's very durable....I wonder if the actual durability is due to the polysealant? :dono
