The Difference between P21S and S100

Yup. About the only difference ever really found is this one:

Go with the S100. You won't be able to see the difference once it goes on your car.

Agreed I couldn't see any difference either, LOL

(sorry couldn't resist that one )

There is definitely a color difference, at least in the 2 jars I have. The S100 is more yellow, the P21S more white. Also, it seems to me the S100 is more "thick" as it melts in your fingertips and applies a little closer to Souveran.

I actually prefer the S100 a little bit, just happens to be cheaper and locally available!

Did anyone ever email P21S and ask them the differences?

I have.. This is from a previous discussion I took part in:

I sent an e-mail to p21s asking what the difference was between s100 and p21s.. I didn't ask for chemical differences but I guess that was the impression that he got.. I thought since the p21s product was more expensive he would be happy to tell some differences between the two (make the s100 users sway towards the more expensive products for their cars)..

Anyway here is what they said:

All I can tell you Adam, is that there are some differences in the two waxes. We are not allowed to talk about chemical make up of the waxes (I'm sure you understand that).

Both will work on either car or motorcycle and are totally safe for either application. I'm sure this debate will rage on for some time. Thanks.

Kind regards,

P21S Customer Service

Could they be any more vague? The best person to ask is Larry Reynolds from carcareonline.com, he told me that he was one of the inventors of P21S products. I thought it was made in Germany and Larry didnt have an accent either! :nixweiss

Well he could've been.. you would think that BMW's are 100% German but I heard some of their interiors are made by a Canadian company and the new designs by the American designer Mr.Bangle.

If they can't make the best, they will often look to others in the world to help them.. BMW has a long heritage with engineering.. for alot of the cosmetics they look to others with more experience in that particular area.
