the best shampoo

What would be the best shampoo to use in order to maintain the shine of the p21s wax.

I have used P21s Bodywork ,which is fine but there must be others.

I want a nice gentle shampoo which will not strip the wax and leave a nice gloss on metallic black.

Ones I have considered are 4* but not sure if too harsh or not and Optimum .

Any suggestions and advise appreciated.

Oh the car has being treated with Klasse All In One too.

Not optimum, I'd go 1Z perls using warm water and use lots of purified or demineralised water

I have Zymol Shampoo, suds like mad, warm or cold water, even if the bucket is half empty you just have to spray again with the hose to see it sudding...

Nice smell too, about 10 $ for 16oz...

If anyone wants a sample of the TOL Bubble Bath, I could probably part with some since I have almost a full gallon of it. I am hooked on QEW for now and will probably use the Optimum QEW when it comes out.

If anyone is interested in a trade let me know!

Zaino for me, but I only use Zaino right now.

I also picked up QEW and have to see how it works.

LTHLBLU, what happened to the cobra and I didn't hear anything form you in a long time.

Long story short, i traded it in for a 2006 STI...i needed something more pratical and that i could fit in. I kept hitting my knees on the steering wheel in the cobra, and i have been going off road more to take photos, in fact, heres a link to pics of the car @ dog valley: http://gallery.xmustang.com/111105

It has tons of swirls, but just to see, i washed it and clayed and polished just the hood with optimum and topped with FMJ, it will look sick. The swirls are coming out with just a polishing pad too!!!! :woot: so thats my plan for this weekend, OP w/Polishing pad speed 6 then 3 x FMJ topped by 1/2x Pink Wax

I second Accumulator's nomination of Griot's Garage car wash. It has always worked well for me; lots of suds, very slippery, and since I buy it by the gallon, it's like 30 bucks for a year of washing.

I have Griot's "pump handle" on my gallon, which sits by the back door to the driveway. Two pumps of the soap, two steps to the kitchen sink to fill it up, one more trip to the sink for "bucket number two" to rinse out the mitt, and I am good to go.

I even use it as a clay lubricant.

I started my detailing "life" with Griot's products, and I have left some of them for others.

This one is a keeper.

have only used the p21s shampoo once seems good and gentl but does it maintian the nice wax shine and depth.

Just got now IZ

My favorites are :

P21S

Griots

Pinnacle

What dont you like about p21s? It doesnt sud much but its gentle on your wax and it leaves a very nice shine.

Griots- This is a very underated wash. I dont know why this board is so anti-griots, but the Car Wash, Speed Shine, and the Interior Cleaner are high quality products.

Other washes I have are:

Megs gold class- its cheap but I use it for my wheelwells. Will not replace it when I run out.

1Z Pearls- good stuff but not better then P21s/Griots and its expensive.

Zaino car wash. To strong to use on a carnauba topped vehicle but works great if you are using Zaino products

Zymol- Not bad for the price.
