I offered to detail my brothers Tahoe for Christmas. What a beast. You need a ladder to clean the windshield.

I found several very long and very visible scratches on the passenger's side from bumper/bumper. Probably from an oak tree. Worked them for 30/45 min with DACP, PC, OC Orange Pad and removed 95%. If I looked hard enough with my halogens lights I could see 2 very light 12" scratches.

The products on hand: DACP, ScratchX, 1Z Paint Polish. Should I get 3M Perfect It III Compound 05933 for future problems like this?

I also found he ran over blue and white paint. There was quite a bit on the body behind the front and read tires. I had nothing that would take this off. My blue Clay Magic I don't believe was designed for this and appeared to do very little. The DACP didn't appear to help either. I found if I worked on each speck with my fingernail I could get it off. I then went over the area with the DACP and that worked but very tedious.

1) Wash with Sonüs Gloss Shampoo

2) Clay with blue Clay Magic.

3) Maguiar's DACP by PC

4) Klasse AIO by PC w/blue Sonüs Pad (including windows)

5) Klasse SG by hand (short on time could only do 1 coat)

6) Waited 24 hours and topped it off with P21S Carnauba.

7) Clean wheels with Bluemagic Metal Polish.

8) Apply Maguiar's trim and tire dressing gel.

9) Treat rubber / plastic trim / dash with Sonüs Total Eclipse.

10) Vacuum interior

11) Treat spots and steam clean carpet with Bissell cleaner.

12) Clean Windows w/MF towels and apply Rain Vision

Total time 12 hours.

It was dark when I started so I couldn't get before pics. The sun hasn't shined for days so the after pics don't do it justice.

To clean the front windshield on my truck I put one foot on the tire and balance myself with my hand by the windshield wipers while i clean the window with the other hand, may work for you or it may not but its worth a try instead of having to drag out a ladder. Nice detail by the way the Tahoe looks great.

Now that's a Chevy! Great work! The color on that Tahoe looks great! I like the pic of the front.

So how long did it take you?

With Aloha,

Ranney :)
