The Bat Cave

Just a couple of pics of the place I'm currently setting up shop. This customer has 12-15 cars (Honestly I don't know how many he has...they just keep appearing) and I've been asked to do them all. It has four total bay doors, metal halide lighting, two lifts, more electrical outlets than I can count, climate control, and 52" LCD TV with Dish Network installed. It also has a washer & dryer, full bathroom, and more storage than I can even fill up. Finally, it has a pretty large parking area out back and that's where I do the washing, before the cars get pulled into the garage. It's a VERY nice set up. It's the only pic I have, and I'll take more, but you can get the idea. This is from the front of the garage.

Thanks, Pat. I'll be working there tonight, so I'll try to get some more pics. I've already done four of the cars; DeLorean, Batmobile, Viper GTS, and a new Ford T-Bird. I'm currently working on a 360 Modena that will be finished in the next couple of days.

Thanks, guys. You really couldn't ask for a better set up. I'm actually considering proposing a business deal with the guy to see if I could run my business out of his garage year round.

Well, I'm still trying to figure out if the Batmobile is one of the original four produced by George Barris or not. It's a little fuzzy...

The DeLorean is the actual car used to film the second Back to the Future movie. The owner is good friends with Bob Gale, who helped write the second movie. It's the real deal. John (Eliot Ness) actually helped me detailed both of those cars, hence the reason he posted the pic.

Uh-oh...I see time machine apparatus on the side of the DeLorean!! Are those "real" vehicles, or reproductions?

Although the builder of the original Batmobile, George Barris, has signed a plaque on this car and it has the Barris Crests on the front quarters, the origins are still a bit hazy. Regardless of its status as a replica it is a very well built piece.

The DeLorean was just an incredible car. The detail on all the props were exceptional.

It was a blast detailing those two cars since each one presented us with some unique challenges. There was also a time limit because they were scheduled to be displayed at a charity event later that week.

I did try to take the DeLorean on a spin back to 1957 but the Mr. Fusion was acting up and we didn't have any spare plutonium.

I'd like to thank Casey for letting me join in on these details. I'll also say Casey has landed these jobs because he has demonstrated the ability to far exceed the customers expectations.

John,

You are way too kind. Thank you so much for the compliments. I literally couldn't have done it without you. Thank YOU!

The cars are awesome! Is this the same Delorean that is (was?) parked at Universal Studios in FL? I remember seeing one out there but I recall it was pretty beat up.

I also like the collection of pinball machines that he has. For some reason I am a big fan of pinball machines... I was always drawn to them when visiting the arcade.

I really like this guys setup :woot2:

No, I'm pretty sure it isn't the same DeLorean. This one is in pretty damn good condition.

This has developed a lot of pinball machines as well as some of the most popular casino games on the planet. I'm serious.

Yeah...you really can't beat the set up.:woot:

The chair in the picture with the pinball machines, is it the one from the Austin Powers movie that Dr. Evil sat in? Oh, man this guy has it all!!! :)

Damn, you guys have some great eyes.

Yes, that is the ACTUAL chair used in the second movie. He also has the actual Dr. Evil ring from the second movie as well. He knows a lot of people, so he has some wicked stuff.

Wow, how does it feel to know you polished a peice of history?

I need a garage like that. I'm taking donations right now ;).

It pretty damn cool, to be honest. John (Eliot Ness) and I were pretty proud to have worked on the cars.
