Thats Fresh Detailed: 97 Jet Black 328i ZKW

Thats Fresh

New member
This 328i came in with medium to heavy swirling with a ton of RIDs. Owner (Robb1887 member on here) agreed for paint correction to remove most of the swirls. I tried my best to get as close to the RIDs as possible with just spot compounding and polishing. After doing test sections, i showed the owner that most of the swirls were gone and just the super deep RIDs remained and the wetsanding was the only way to remove them. He shook his head okay and i proceeded to tackle the rest of the car. Car is garage kept and regularly washed so there weren't any surprises during the wash/prep. Most of the discrepancies were from the previous owner

Robb decided to debadge at this point which was great since i was going to work on his paint. since we were on a SUPER time constraint, i made him do all the dirty work. check out more action shots of Robb working my hairdryer/floss dedicated to detailing.

Some spots were treated with a few dots of PG and a few dots of IP. after hitting those sections, it seemed to pretty clean up real well and was ready for the finishing polish. After spot compounding, polishing with IP and following up with 106FA and PO85rd, sealing with JetSeal, the gloss came out! it looked so wet. BUT i wasnt done yet. With the car being black, i had to see if even more wetness could be achieved and let me tell you, it blew me and Robb away after i buffed the Purple Haze off.

now onto the long awaited afters

By the time we were done, the rain came and poured. it hurt me so bad that his car had to see rain just minutes after i buffed the wax off. i had to risk my camera and get some actual beading shots from the rain.

Notice how the rain just doesnt stick to the vertical panel of the drivers side door. This was after it was sitting in the rain for several minutes... yummy!

as always, C&C welcome. thanks for looking!

Beautiful! That's how JB is supposed to look. :bigups

Purple Haze works awesome with JB. It's my go-to wax currently, haven't used anything better on JB paint.

great looking detail.... i know many of you BMW lovers dont like the body style of the e36 sedan but i think it looks great!

another fine detail. Deep looking black. I have yet to try dodo juice but after this thread i might have to order some.

Nice job.
