THATS FRESH Detailed: 2001 Fern Green 325i

Thats Fresh

New member
this car belongs to BIMMERFAN08. he wanted to properly clean and protect the paint for the summer. he also wanted to prep the car which is being given to his mom in trade for his M3 this summer so i dont call this a full detail. since he helped with the detail, we were going to have time for a 1step polish. his car was in pretty good shape with a few dings here, rock chips there, and scattered RIDS. but driving 5 hours away to Virginia Tech for school and parking outdoors, i say his car was in pretty good shape.

the 106FF/white got most of the swirls out but the paint still wasnt perfect. BIMMERFAN08 agreed to come back in fall for a full paint correction which touch up is chips and RIDS with some touch up paint and wetsanding.

*moldings were going to be done by himself.

thanks for looking

NICE! Why a second ONR Wash? Was it that dirty? Also, noticed 2 types of lubes for clay job...was it 50/50 or one used on 1 side other on other side of car?

I noticed a little haze, and then I noticed this.

Use a higher intensity light while correction, help you focus on those holograms. Halogens don't expose holograms as much as that camera flash. A simple, 3 watt, single LED flashlight should suffice.

the ONR wash was after the polish application. i clayed one side with ONR lube and the owner clayed the other side with the Megs clay kit he bought.
