How can you be thankful for something and not like it? Or like something and not be thankful? What`s the purpose in having the two buttons? Which one gives the OP more atta-boys?

Like = good post

Thanks = politeness

Don`t you say thank you when someone helps you?

dats my story and i`m sticken to it.

It seems to me that if you ask a question and someone provides you with an answer, you should thank that person.

Likes are for things you agree with, regardless of whether they are in response to your question (or any question for that matter).

Like for me equals = I enjoyed the read

Thanks for me equals - I learned something that is going to save me time, or give me a better result, or answered a question I had.

Also- I generally like and thank every post from Ron because he be the detailing mafia and I don`t want my order miss shipped.

See what I did there?

Heh heh...I just skip doing either one, preferring to post back if I want to express an opinion/reaction. I consider that approach in-character since the "likes"/etc. smack of newfangled Social Media to me.
