Faster ground shipping to the west coast compared to snail mail UPS! Autopia car care :yourrock

I find it slower here. Ends up that the post office ends up delivering it most time causing an extra or 2 compared to UPS. Guess Fed Ex contracts the post office to do the local deliveries or such here?? :dunno:

I think it's called FedEx Smart Post. They team up with USPS for deliveries. That's definitely not FedEx Ground or Home delivery. Smart Post is very slow.

Perhaps. I never knew that. :bigups It is what OPT uses when you order direct. Usually not an issue tho..............I am sure I have enough of another product to get me thru an extra day or 2. :rofl

I'm looking at the projected delivery date on my email and it is one day quicker than UPS in the past. I love it.

FedEx is faster for me as well. If I order on Monday and it goes out same day I usually get it Wednesday. If I do the same with AG I don't get it until Friday at the earliest. There have been times where UPS takes extra time and it can be the next Monday before I see the package

Meghan saw a blurb I posted here about UPS being slow so she sent out some test packages. Both USPS Priority Mail and FedEx Ground took 2 days. UPS averages 5, longer over a weekend when everything comes to a screeching halt on Friday evening. I always request specific shipping on AG orders (as well as packing paper instead of their infernal peanuts), I'd expect you can do the same with ACC.

I sent out some stuff via Priority Mail the other day. Printed the label and paid online, scheduled a next-day pickup and it was on the left coast in 2 days. Ordered some stuff from DI in the wee hours yesterday morning... tracking says it's on the FedEx Ground truck for delivery today! It routinely takes EIGHT DAYS after UPS picks it up for me to get products from Phoenix from ADS via UPS. From other reports it appears UPS sevice depends on where you are and who your driver is. From my experiences UPS universally sucks. YMMV.

It was a surprise to see a FedEx tracking number for the AF shipment. Then again, I am spoiled, as it always gets here in one day... :innocent:

Priority Mail is hit and miss for me. I had an order from Autotality take 14 days to arrive. I am less than 6 hours from them. The package spent 10 days sitting in a sorting facility outside of Baltimore about an hour away from me.

Don't even ask me about USPS customer service.

USPS seems to be slow going north for me but I seem to get them fairly quickly from others.

We use UPS at work and they have rarely let me down.

We use UPS and FedEx through work. Both have their ups and downs, but both in my area are decent (knock on wood). The UPS driver that normally delivers to the store is great, little bit crazy, but yanno. FedEx around here they mostly issue the packages through a local route that goes to my work and house (neighboring towns). Over the years I've gotten to know the FedEx guy so anything that goes to my house he'll bring my stuff to my work where it's alot safer than leaving it on my porch at the house. I've got his cell #, so sometimes I'll give him a heads up if it's an expensive order. That's customer service!

That is Smartpost as Mark suggested.

Shipping with FedEx Smartpost ranges from 2-7 days and it usually is the USPS end that holds up a package when it happens (rarely).

We use FedEx Smartpost in order to allow the flat rate shipping. It's much cheaper when the package is 2lbs or less, but we use FedEx Ground on larger orders. In many cases it will get there within the same time as Ground, but in some residential areas it takes longer for some reason. All packages shipped to businesses get there faster and in most cases are cheaper, so it any of you can get packages at your shop or place of employment it may save you some coin and get your orders to you sooner.
