Texas Realtors

I'm in the process of looking for a job and a house in the Austin area. I was speaking with a realtor and asked me if I was interested in sign a buyers agreement with him. By signing a buyers agreement, I would be committing to him as a realtor. He mentioned this was a Texas policy. Being from California, I've never heard of that before. If I sign a buyers agreement he will look out for my best interest. If I don't sign a buyers agreement he would have to protect the seller.

Is anyone familiar with this?

What up Johnnie from SBF... it should be too hard to find me.

Thanks for the links. They are very helpful. I wasn't sure if it was a Texas law or a company policy.

I appreciate it.
