Tesla Model S - Opti-Coat Pro - Oklahoma

Had a client contact me about protecting his Tesla Model S and he wanted a ceramic coating. He had done a lot of research on-line and was set on having opti-coat applied to the vehicle. He plans on putting many miles on the car and having it for many years to come, longevity was the key factor.

After going back and forth on a drop off date, we were finally able to work a date out. The customer had been driving the vehicle for a week since taking delivery of it and had already put on 1200 miles. The condition that I received the car in was far from new car status. I found several rock chips, car covered in water spots that would not wipe away, and crazy swirls and holograms on both fenders and doors (manufacture installed i assume). Needless to say my work was cut out for me. I was able to restore this new car back to its new condition and deliver it to the client looking better then the day he took delivery, just a short, rough, week ago. Enjoy.

the red thing on the dash is a dash cover. Hopefully the owner will be getting the windshield tinted soon

Great, great, work !!! It looks Perfect !!! Love the color and clarity !!!

The Swirls you photographed so beautifully were installed by someone who was taught incorrectly, to use the edge of the pad at speed to go faster and this with probably an already dirty pad with suspect junk product will Always come out like what you see here..
They only have so much time to go over the entire vehicle and not knowing how + not enough time + not the best products = what you saw on the car..
And as if that is not insulting enough, most of them seem to think that Swirls are part of the clean up and it "Shows" that the car was "Detailed".. :(

More than once I have had someone in a parking lot see my perfectly clear Black Metallic Grand Cherokee and ask me to look at their Black Mercedes, etc., full of swirls, and they always say - "isnt it supposed to look that way after getting Detailed?"
And then I take them over to my Black Jeep and say no, this is how it is supposed to look, and they are always amazed..

Glad you were able to make it all good again !

I would also advise your Client to get a really good ClearBra installed on the entire front end, mirrors and if he wants to pop for it, the top edge of the rear bumper (to prevent scratches when something like luggage gets dragged over it)..

My Venture Shield installed 5 years ago has prevented numerous projectiles from getting to my paintwork and it still polishes up beautifully if needed and is perfectly clear..

The newer Clear Bras are not the ugly, thick, crappy stuff Dealerships or bad tint shops sell; they are a thinner, stronger, better material by a long ways..

Thanks for the hard work and all the post work after with the pics, posting and write ups!
