Tell me why

XMT 360 is a good product but only corrects a little compared to standalone polishes and compounds. If that meets your needs, is a nice product.

I am on my own search for AIOs because I want to offer something to my customers between maintenance wash&wax and heroic 25hr efforts. I've tried XMT 360, Griots, Poli-Seal, KAIO already and next will be Megs 151. (Still have the CG AIO to try and maybe BF - but that is just a rumor.)

Not many use one step products but it also depends on what level of correction your happy with. Take a look at this post by opie_7afe and you will see what can be done with 360. I wouldn't recommend you buy the kit for one the 6.5 pads are too big for a PC you need 5.5 pads and 5" BP. Buy the componants seperatly and get what your going to use.

I had read that post. I just want to get the scratches out and have it looking good.

I don't even think I could put 25 hrs into it with out going crazy.

Last week I washed my truck and used the xmt360 spray wax, so this morning I went to rinse it off and most of the dirt just rinsed right off and the water beaded off pretty good. The Adam's wax I had used before never beaded this good after my truck had been waxed.

It is really 12+ hours with 2 people. Still, in TX heat, it does stop being fun - particularly for what I make on it.

It surprisingly easy for me to lose hours as soon as I pull out my polishers. Power on the PC or GG6 and, next time I look, it is 3 hours later.

I have been doing lots of reading on here and was wondering why if this product works why doesn't everyone use it.

XMT 360 Corrects, Cleans, Seals

Or would I be better off buying this in the spring while I'm down in Florida. I don't want to spend countless hours buffing every couple of months.

Pinnacle XMT Porter Cable 7424XP Light Swirl Remover Kit

I do have some light scratches, would I be best to buy both.

Probably not everyone is talking about it because there are just so many products to talk about. The number of products to choose from in the AIO class is quite large. I have never used xmt360, but people speak favorably of it. i would guess it could handle light swirls. the pc kit would most likely work and the machine would keep you a lot less sweaty and sore. DG 501 is a popular AIO in the forums. I have had issues with application, but i think it may be related to the cold weather, so could work well for you down in florida.

can't really go wrong if you search through the forums and follow the advice.

When you build an All-In-One product (something that cleans, polishes, and protects) you have to build compromises into the formula, although XMT360 has fewer compromises then a lot of other AIO's.

It is perfect for the person who wants to keep their daily driver looking new and does mind applying every couple of months.

When you separate the processes (cleaning, polishing, and protecting) you can focus each product for its intended role. The cleaner will clean more, the polishes will remove more defects, and the protection will look better and last longer).

It really depends on how much time you are willing to invest and what your goals are. If your goals are to have the best looking paint in town go with the Swirl Remover kit and top with a quality wax. Sticking with XMT you would go with XMT 180 Wax. It has the famous Pinnacle Carnauba and looks like a sheet of glass.

i have probably done 40 cars with xmt 360 correct, as todd and everyone said it removes light swirls. i use it with a 3401 flex and an orange ccs pad and get great results. a nice plus is that if properly done there is almost no product to remove with a mf. it works well in heat, not sure about humidity but i live in oregon and we dont have any. this still remains my favorite aio and the fact i buy it a case at a time reflects this.

So would it not be best to start with the pc to get out the tough stuff, then use the xmt 360 after all the scratches are gone. I don't mind spending some time every other month on making it look good. If I just used the xmt360 after would I need to use anything else with it. I wish we had classes like you guys have down there in Florida.

Depending on your care with washing, might not even need so often. But that is a workable plan.

I use two buckets to wash my truck and dry it with a mf towel. I think my biggest problem is to remember to tell the dealer not to wash it after getting the oil changed.

you need to make some signs saying do not wash and put them in clear plastic folders. I keep a couple in my glove compartment and put them on my dash if I ever have to go to the dealer for service.

Just wait till your down here for DF and see all the products before hand and then get the ones you want and have them ship home. Don't forget the great time you will have here and meeting many members from the forum also.

Sorry what is DF, lost me on this one. Would like to meet people when I'm down there.

I know I'm going to stick with xmt360 stuff. I washed my truck last Friday and used the xmt360 spray wax. This morning it was a little dirty so I rinsed it off, went to p/u the wife and she asked if I had washed the truck again. She was surprised it looked so clean and shiny.

You will find that after you have spent the time initially after that it will be much easier to maintain it. That is assuming that you take care of it which it sounds like you do.

I have a bottle of XMT360 but haven't tried it on an entire car yet. I did one test panel and was happy with what I saw. I ended up using another AIO on the entire car because I didn't have time for the learning curve of a new product.

As a side note, I eagerly await news that the BF AIO is more than a rumor. :D:D
