...............................................hmmmmm...........

Here are the results.......

Here is what I used:

Wheels & Wheel Wells

Amazing Roll Off -- tires, and wheel wells

Meguiar's Wheel Brightner -- rims

Meguiar's Hyper Dressing -- 2:1 tires

Wash

Dawn Dishwashing Soap.....

Engine

Amazing Roll Off

Dressed with 303 Aerospace Protectant

Carpets

Folex -- spot treatment

Pro-Form (Sams Club) Carpet Cleaner -- Cleaning

Bissell

Leather

Clean -- Woolite 10:1

Condition -- Meguiar's Leather Cleaner & Conditioner (just got it!)

Interior and Door Jams

Meguiars APC+ 4:1

Plastic & Dash treated with 303

Alcohol & Water 50/50 for windows

Also treated all of the rubber seals with 303 Protectant

Paint

I just got Meguiars Paint Reconditioning Cream. OH MY GOD!! It is awesome. Especially for jobs like this where the car is very new and the paint is in ok shape. Just some minor swirls etc...

I used the cream with my PC7424 and a white CCS pad.

Black plastic on bumper and mirrors

Meguiar's Hyper Dressing -- 100%

first off, the car looks great, especially the rims.

questions:

did you put any protectant on the rubber mats or did you just hose them off/wipe them down? it looks like you dressed the running boards with Meg's Hyper Dressing as well, does it make them slick at all or do they maintain some grip?

On the mats, I actually used Meguiar's APC+ 4:1 and a scrub brush. Then hosed them off and wiped them down.

I actually applied 303 to them after the pictures and before delivering it to her. Just to bring back their original color again... I didn't take any pics after I applied it....sorry :(

As far as the running boards:

I applied Hyper-dressing to them before I waxed the car. After I finished waxing the car I sprayed all of the black plastic with Meguiar's APC+ 4:1 to clean the wax off. The running boards actually held their color even after they were cleaned. I went back over the plastic with 303 which is where the shine comes from but no slip :)

I guess I should have put that in the original post. sorry....

no, its all gravy I was just curious as I'm doing my mom's suburban soon and wanted a clean, black look to the running boards w/o the slip and my own mats are rubber and when I applied 303 to them, they were really slick, it was annoying though not as hazardous as say running boards which are used to support weight.

I think the car looks great and I want to imitate that look.

Looks great!!! Good job!!

Did you notice any slickness in the seats? I found, with Megs leather cleaner/conditioner that it left the seats very slick. Customers would actually comment on it. I switched to DG Leather Conditioner and it works perfectly. The seat looks very nice and you don't slide around in the seat as much.

YES! I did notice that. They come out very shiny too. I love the ease of putting it on and it smells good too. Even though I thought it might smell like leather....

I bought the gallon size so I am going to have to get through it. But I am very interested in trying the Dura Gloss stuff. Can you buy it in bulk or in larger sizes? I couldn't seem to find it. Or is there a product you can buy in bulk that works better than the Meguiar's? :nixweiss

very nice turnaround :) I was thinking to my self while looking at the teaser pics, how much fun that'd be to clean! and how I'd clean those rubber mats, and I must say APC+ 4:1 is exactly what I thought of, great minds think alike!

Love the color of the Expedition great results

How do you pull everything out the carpet? I normally struggle to get my carpet 100% clean. P.S. It looks brillaint

Thank you!

I vacuum the carpet once with a shopvac. Then I take an upholstery brush and dry srub the carpet with that while vacuuming again. Then finally I pound the carpet with my hand or a brush and suck it up while vacuuming. It really works good and it is amazing what will come up.

To get stains out. I will pre-treat the spots with Folex really early on and let it soak. I then come back later and scrub them with an upholstery brush and let them soak some more. Then finally I will use a Bissell with whatever cleaner I feel it needs (Proform, Meguiar's APC+, Woolite etc) to clean the rest of the carpets.

Hope this helps!
