Hello all. Don't know if this is nationwide or not, but my local Target had some pretty good clearance deals going on today. I picked up NXT Spray Wax for $5.02 (down from $7.18), NXT Glass Cleaner for $3.84 (down from $5.49) and some Vroom Tire Shine to try out for $3.14 (down from $4.49). They also had TWPS Detailer and Wheel Cleaner on clearance as well as many other products. Might be worth checking out on the way home from work.

What about Gold Class soap?

Unfortunately, no...and I looked all over just to make sure. They did however have the little 64 oz. GC soap combo with wash mitt and Supreme Shine Microfiber for $9.99.

At the target by me here in Michigan they had a couple things you havent brought up yet.

Rubbermaid Wash Bucket- was 9.99 now 4.99

Rubbermaid insert tray- was 2.99 now somewhere around a dollar and some change

NXT spray can tire shine- was 6.50 now 3.25

Armorall tire shine- was 4.50 now 2 something

i dont think that its a clearance item, but its worth it I think.....the VROOM microfibers are offered at 7.99 for 12 towels.....I have heard good things about them so I picked up a pack today.....otherwise there are 5 for 6 bucks....kinda weird marketing.....but whatever....

I saw that and speculated that there may be a quality difference.

So for about an hour (seriously) I stood in the aisle feeling the different MF bundles (2, 5, 12), and I either caught onto the secret or there was some psychological thing going on:: the 2 pack that costs like $4.50 felt the most plush, while the 12 pack towels felt extremely thin.

I really don't know.. sometimes I think I need to stop buying detailing stuff.

the way I figured it, if they suck, then they become interior carpet towels....but for about 80 cents each....why not.....hahaha....of course, the practice comes on my truck, not my customers....the customers get the meguiars plush ones....

I won't get a chance to go to Target until Saturday, but I'll keep my eyes open. Looking to pick up another bottle of APC, glass cleaner, tire shine, and some MFs--all Vroom Brand.

I just don't get Target's Vroom clearance sale. I don't see that $1-2 off an item that they are probably going to restock in the spring can really be considered a "clearance" sale price.

Target has 3 major stocking time periods each year corresponding to the seasons: March (spring) July (back to school) and October (Halloween / Christmas). They are probably clearing shelf space to make room for new and exciting auto detailing products.

Also noticed that a gallon of Gold Class Car Wash varies from store to store by as much as $2. Weird.

Thanks for the heads up.

While I didn't see any deeply discounted items such as the half off prices I did pick up the 1/2 gallon of Meg's Gold Class car wash bundled with one of their nice Supreme Shine mf towels and an Ultra Plush Wash mitt for $9.99 and some discounted NXT insane shine tire spray for $4.54.

How are the vroom MF towels? They had a pack of 12 of their supreme towels (orange) for $9.99 I believe. The towels felt nice I but I didn't get them yet I wanted to check here first :)

I really like the Vroom towels. I got the 5-pack for like $6, and I like the Vrooms for removing polish/sealant/wax residue in particular. They are really soft and plush, but not all that absorbant (doesn't hold enough QD to be good at that) and they're on the small side. People say that the 2-pack towels are plusher though.

The wash bucket, its this the one with 2 wheels on the back? I know around this time of last year, they have a similar sales and I got RM wash bucket and a caddy(which I suppose to PAY..shhhhh) and they forgot or thought it was part of the package ;) what da heck anyway :grinno:

I really like the Vroom towels.

They are good for the price but on par with Costco towels in terms of quality. Very good for heavy duty action where you don't want to ruin a nice mf towel.

IDK, I must have gotten different Costco towels than you...mine are like the opposite of the Vroom's. The Costcos are heavy duty towels and very absorbant, but after the first couple of washes they become as stiff as cardboard. I would NEVER let these near a car's paint. Meanwhile, I find the Vroom's paint safe and suited to lighter duty jobs.
